Great retreat for family
Was a great place to stay with children. The lake is shallow for a good distance, giving a good area for children to play in the water and use the provided kayaks. It's close to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park.

We liked the proximity of the cottage. It was close to town and activities. Upon walking in, it was very musty smelling (I expected a little maybe being a cottage near a lake, but this was bad). The bedrooms were the worst smelling rooms. The carpet and bedding were damp to the touch. We opened the windows and put the fans in them facing out (I wouldn't have the fans blowing in because they had so much dust caked in them and on the blades). After returning from being out, we hoped the cottage would've aired out, but it did not. Both nights we stayed we slept in the living room (we actually moved the two twin beds out and pushed them together to sleep). Overall, it wasn't as cleaned as I would like. There were cob webs in most corners of the ceiling with bugs in them, dust along the walls in the bathroom, shower curtain was orange on the bottom, some mold or mildew in the shower, the dish drainer had something nasty on it, the couch and rug has stains on them. While playing a game I dropped a dice and reached just under the couch to grab it and it was gross. Not only was there dust built up, but also pieces of candy, a bottle of lotion. It was clear that this place wasn't cleaned well before our arrival. The communication was good with the emails and call I received prior to our arrival.

We hit the jackpot!
Glen Lake was crystal clear and we so enjoyed having paddleboards, kayaks and rowboats available, along with the long dock and fun floating dock! We swam, scuba dived, boated and watched the amazing sunsets every night. We also enjoyed day visits to nearby Sleeping Bear Dunes and Glen Arbor town. The cottege was cozy and had all that we needed. No AC but we had great weather and fans were in each room. WE WANT TO GO BACK NEXT YEAR!

Family trip
The property is beautiful. They have basketball, pickleball, tennis, badminton and volleyball. They have 2 lakes Glen and Brooks lake. They have a dock and 8 boats with life jackets. They have a fire pit. There are 5 cabins and you share everything between eachother. The cabin was roomy and had fans. The kitchen has dishes, silverware, cups, spatula, coffee pot and microwave. A charcoal grill and picnic table at each cabin with extra chairs. Close to Glen Arbor and lake Michigan. Perfect for families with all of the extras to enjoy.

Fun fall weekend
Took the kids to Sleeping Bear Dunes and they loved staying in our cozy cottage. The games were great, the layout was perfect for our needs, and the lake view was gorgeous. The new electric heating unit was a bit tricky to keep the back bedrooms warm but we figured fall temps so dressed warm. Had a great time!

Our 15th year was FABULOUS!
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've been back to Brookhaven 15 times and loved it more this year than ever before. It is a great place to gather with family and friends, hike, bike, swim, boat, grill out and enjoy a campfire under a beautiful blanket of stars. This is the simple life. No TV's, no computers, no AC-just great times in the fresh air. AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!! Definitely 5 stars.
