I was travelling with my son, so ended up sleeping on the sofa bed, which was easy to pull out, had a bottom sheet already on and additional pillows etc were in the cupboard. The room we had with a third bed for child - the room was way too small for this and hot and stuffy , ok as a double - not ok as a family room . "All round good hotel and the pool was definitely a plus , only think was not good was you have to go to the supermarket for your loo roll you can’t buy it from the hotel which I found uncomfortable asking about x"

"The property is located in a quiet residential street near to some local shops and about a mile on foot to the Vieux Port - a lovely tree lined stroll. The house is small but perfect for two people. We only used the ground floor - bedroom, shower, wc, kitchen and a nice sunny sitting room leading out into a small garden. NB Access to the basement accommodation is via very steep stairs. Only practical for the young and nimble! The house is a good base from which to explore the wonderful port town...

"Beautiful house on a corner terrace, photos were accurate the property was very well equipped. The availability of the garage was useful for our bikes and roof box. The local town had a daily market selling amazing produce, the local bakery was also amazing along with an ice cream parlour which made fabulous waffles. The nearby sandy beach was within walking distance and had a nice bar. It was easy to hire a bike and use the many bike paths to visit other towns on the island. We would definitely...

Great hotel

"Lovely hotel in the heart of La Rochelle. We had a room in the annexe which was good because at the time there were extensive renovations taking place to the exterior of the main building which was shrouded in green fabric. Internally it was renovated I believe last year to a very high standard and was modern whilst retaining many original features. Parking available on site is a must, at an extra cost, but is well worth the charge. Breakfast was plentiful and very busy but we always managed to get a good table. The staff were all extremely efficient and although their English was better than our French, they let us persevere in French, at our request. Lots of good restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk. Really can’t fault this hotel. We would definitely book again on future visits. "
