Great stay, great location, great host
We had a great stay in marathon, highly recommend for families. Exceptional location. Fourth bedroom is detached, great for teens, perhaps not as much so for smaller kids. Worked out for us great. Mary the host is fantastic.

Family Keys Trip
This was the perfect house to enjoy a trip to the keys with family. I woke up each morning looking out at the ocean. You can fish as the sun rises, go in and eat breakfast, then go out and snorkel. The house location is perfect for a day trip to Key West and many state parks. You could easily relax, fish, and snorkel right off the dock all week and never need to leave.

Location! Location! Location!
Overall we had a great time and the house was nice. You can't beat the location with great sunset view. The pool, hot tub, and dock were very convenient and very much fun. The house was clean but needs some updating.... especially the kitchen. With that said, we had a fantastic time and were not disappointed. It's a great house.

Fabulous view
The house was clean and comfortable for all six of us, with everything you need to enjoy Marathon and the surrounding keys. We also enjoyed the dock, pool and hot tub; especially, after boating all day. You need to see the sunsets! Phenomenal!

Family Favorite!
We have stayed in many vacation rentals but our family agreed this was our favorite! The house is comfortable and well supplied with towels and kitchenware. As with many rentals, it has a little wear and tear, but it is very well maintained. The outdoor space is spectacular. I don’t know if we can ever be satisfied with canal front houses after being waterfront. The sunsets are fantastic!

The view made our trip!
We booked this property because of the amazing view. The house is older and has some deferred maintenance but it's all you really need. Nice pool, hot tub & screened porch. The dock is not really suited for a boat (only one cleat and on the open water so difficult with any wind) but is an awesome spot to fish & watch the sunset! The property manager was kind and responsive. The location was great. Plenty of room for our family of 6.

Nice House and Location, but Maintenance Problems
Excellent location in Marathon and a nice house, tho dated. Toilet, air conditioning/heater, and faucets all had problems while we were there. Mary great to work with, but she is not well-served by her maintenance guy.

Things that need to be addressed
Dock wood polls Do not have any bumper guards on them. Had to load the boat at night so it would not get beat up There is no water hook up at the dock.

Fabulous Home
This home was amazing! Pictures just can’t do it justice. We wanted something midway along the Keys and near the water and boy! Did this deliver! The home is beautiful and the private pool and hot tub were just what we wanted. Plus, with three couples using the house the layout was excellent because we each got our own bathroom/bedroom combo. There was an extra room with twin beds if you have kiddos as well but we didn’t need that for our group. Mary was excellent at communicating prior to our stay and just as we were getting settled in but dropped off completely after that when we had additional questions. Not sure why. Maybe she went on vacation too??? 😉 Overall, it was lovely week and we will definitely consider this rental in the future. Highly recommend!

Amazing stay
Our family of 6 came down for a week’s stay. We had such an amazing time! Property was immaculate and beds were comfortable. Could’ve stayed all week without leaving. Hot tub and pool were just the perfect mix. We had a blast fishing and snorkeling from the dock. Mary and Claire were awesome hosts! Will be back!

Great family Thanksgiving trip
We spent the week of Thanksgiving in this home with our children and grandchildren. The set up for this home was perfect for us with no direct access to the pool or water from the main living space without exiting through the main door and through a fenced area. This was very important to us traveling with small children and again an ideal set up for our group. There is one bedroom/bathroom downstairs with it’s own entrance that was a great quiet space for our son and his girlfriend without children. The pool and hot tub right on the water was perfect. Mary was great to work with. Perfect family trip, wish it was longer!

Perfect location!
3 bedrooms, 2 baths upstairs with kitchen and living room, another bedroom and full bath downstairs. Kitchen could use an update, to include not having any pot holders and the pans are dated with loose handles, the knives are dull, kitchen cabinets need to be tightened up. We messaged the property manager a few days in advance a couple of times with questions without a response. We traveled from a far distance and arrived to the house less than 30 mins early prior to check in time, one of the questions we had in advance of our trip was asking for an early check in, we only wanted to get out of the car and stretch our legs and were made to feel like a nuisance. A ton of stinky trash was left behind from the previously renters which was unpleasant. No extra blankets in the house. The air conditioner was extra cold which was a plus! There was always a nice breeze blowing thru by the pool. The “noseeum” bugs are horrible, we had so many bites on us from being outside and inside the house. Fishing from the dock was amazing! We caught several nurse sharks, needle fish, tarpon, barracudas and red snappers. Only 1 cleat on the dock to tie up the boat that we rented and was informed by the neighbor that it was dangerous to tie up there due to storms as this is how he lost his boat. There are some soft spots on the pier but still solid for watching beautiful sunsets and sun rises. One of the cleaning crew members backed into our car and fortunately for us there was no damage but for him, a busted tail light on day one. I was not aware there was an additional charge a week to rent the kayaks and bikes, again a question I had inquired about in advance without a response. The password was changed to the WIFI and the binder was not updated with this information had to reach to VRBO to get the new password. Overall for the price, we were pleased with our stay! The manatees swam directly past our pier numerous times, we saw turtles and also dolphins.

Excellent Location & Great Pool
Our group of 8 guys really enjoyed this home and back yard. The pool and hot tub were a great escape from the summer heat and there was plenty of shaded outdoor space for cooking and eating. The dock easily accommodated our 23’ boat. The host even replaced the grill for us when we realized the existing grill was not usable. Great host and home. We will hopefully be back again!

Perfect House for sunsets.
We loved the house and really enjoyed the stay. We like fishing off the dock but this dock could use some improvement. Also the bathrooms are a little cramped but everything worked great. The Pool, Palm Trees, and sunsets were great.

There's no place like home... EXCEPT Tropical Sunset
This is our group's 10th year vacationing on an island somewhere in the US and this was the best house to date. From the location and neighborhood to waterfront access and dock, we didn't want for anything. We saw lots of fish and manatee from the dock, enjoyed the hot tub daily, and loved the screened porch for meals. The outdoor living area was pretty awesome with a covered patio, pool, deck chairs, hot tub, and fish cleaning table. Outside of the normal things you would bring on vacation, make sure to have a headlamp if you plan to be on the dock at night.

Lobster season
We enjoyed our stay. Mary was amazing. House is deff older but that didn’t really bother us. They had extra ac units in each room which we loved because it’s always hot in the keys. The neighborhood is nice and felt safe, loved the everyday view! There was Very minimal kitchen supplies and the tub stoppers in the bath doesn’t work in either bathtubs so that was a pain as we have 3 kids under the age of 6 trying to take baths every night. Other than that we didn’t really have any complaints about the house! And we really enjoyed booking and deal with Mary! She made our stay super easy and relaxing and the pies were so good that she left !!

Wonderful sunsets, fabulous rental company. Great experience.
Great experience. Location of the property was fabulous. Close to everything near MM50. The bedrooms were good size. Comfortable beds and plenty of towels in the 3 bathrooms. We didn't realize one of the four king bedrooms was downstairs with it's own entrance. So if you have younger children needing the 4th bedroom, it could be a problem. We had a couple of teens with us who preferred the feeling of having their own area. Two of the bathrooms and been updated. The 3rd one was perfectly fine but in comparison could use some refreshing... Very reminiscent of an older"grandma-feel" bathroom. The kitchen was ok. It had the basic cooking items but could use some cookie sheets or something to bake on. We did notice a there were ants in the kitchen when we arrived on the counter tops. Each morning we would each take turns killing them. Not sure where they were coming from as we could never find their point of entrance. But again nothing of major concern. Plenty of room for a large family to sit and eat together. It is extremely nice having your own private pool and hot tub. We also enjoyed snorkeling around the dock. We saw a manatee, sand shark, nurse shark, spiny lobsters, crabs and lots of fish. We spent a lot of time sitting on the screened balcony, too. No need to go to Key West. It has its own AMAZING view of the sunset.

Best family trip
This house was perfect for my family. My parents stayed on the lower level. They are in there 70’s and 80’s. There were 8 of us and we had plenty of room. The location is close to everything, the amenities at the house are wonderful!! (The pool, hot tub, snorkeling at the dock, paddle boarding , kayaking) the property manager is also very helpful and quick to respond. So happy we chose tropical sunset for our stay.

Great family vacation!!
My family of 8 had a great time this week. The views are amazing, house super clean. Caught tons of snapper from dock at night. House needs some little updating, neither bath tub has a working drain stopper which makes it difficult to bathe 2 toddlers. Also, fyi, the tile under carport and deck is extremely slippery when wet, especially in bare feet. Nice laundry room with bait freezer. Super nice quiet neighborhood. Would definitely rent again!!

Very pleased
The property manager, Mary, was wonderful. She helped immediately with any questions or issues either by a phone call or text. This was our first time in the Keys and we were like we were in Paradise. We loved spending time at the home. We did ride down to Key West on our motorcycles one day but other than that, our time was spent at the home. We enjoyed ourselves and would definitely come back. Thank you for everything and especially the memories!
