"The Host Ben is very responsive and kind. I wanted to experience living among the Ticos and we loved it. This place is unique and cozy for the 4 of us girls. There are some minor upgrades needed but we are so easygoing that it was not a bother. We survived a huge thunderstorm and no power for just a couple hours. The property has 2 cats. Also each bedroom has air conditioning and we enjoyed Netflix in the evening. This area is definitely a surf town and several restaurants walking distance....

"This place was great. Though Avellanas Beach was a short walk from the property, it felt secluded and remote. I could hear howler monkeys in the trees, which was cool. The house was gated and felt safe and had all the amenities we needed for our stay. I would gladly visit again."

"We couldn't have asked for a better spot. We rented both adjoining properties and had plenty of room for our large group of 32 people. Manfred was attentive to all of my msgs and responded quickly. "Our extended family of 11 were so lucky to find this home! The house itself is even better than the photos. Our kids/teens loved the guest house and the primary rooms were incredible. Melissa was very easy to work with and addressed any concerns immediately. The maid service was flexible and convenient. Driving to Hacienda Panilla was interesting with rough roads etc, but once inside the gates it was beautiful. "

"We were impressed with the facility immediately. Security was evident and that eliminated any concern for the car or ourselves during our satay. Rosa handled the bookings and she was extremely friendly and helpful with instructions. The hotel is a short walk from the downtown core but far enough to dissuade the street vendors. A first class hotel to lower the sound and turn up the enjoyment."

"The hotel was very beautiful and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. Rooms were large and well appointed, bed was a little firmer than I would have liked but the pillows were soft and there was two to choose from. Food was very tasty and the presentation was very nice. Look for Kevin at the beach bar he’s great."
