Great central location in beautifully restored property

"The property is located in a small neighborhood below Beram just outside Pazin. Its central location provides easy access to hill towns and seaside areas of Istria as well as day trips to explore Slovenia and Trieste. The property manager lives in the neighborhood and always immediately responded to our questions or assistance requests. We arrived mid-September just as the weather became unseasonably cold. As a result, the bedrooms and bathrooms were very chilly as they are not heated. The property description should state that only the common areas are heated & cooled. While the accommodations are very good we would suggest the following to make renters stay even more comfortable: written instructions for operating kitchen appliances (microwave, stove, dishwasher operation is not self-evident); wifi is weak - install boosters; bedrooms need more clothes hangers in armoires (2 per room insufficient); add clothes hooks in bedrooms particularly in bedroom with only shelves in armour; add towel hooks in bathrooms (1 small hook in each is insufficient); wooden sticks/bars to hold shutters open to prevent banging and closing with the wind. We had numerous wasps in the kitchen - their entry point should be found and closed - the property manager stated that they probably entered when we opened the kitchen door and although we were careful and watched this was not our experience. We hope these suggestions are found to help make an excellent rental even better. "

Family break in Istria

"We had a lovely time staying here. The facilities are exactly as described and provide for a wonderful break. The rooms are comfortable and clean with everything you could need while away from home. The outside space is exceptional with a wonderful private pool, table tennis, barbeque and separate garden. Mladen and Adriana were superb hosts. They were always available whenever we needed them but also gave us plenty of privacy and space to enjoy our break. Thank you again fornyour hospitality. We would certainly recommend the property to other families looking for a comfortable base to relax and explore the local area."

Beach within a few minutes, 2 bedrooms, private pool, completely fenced

Lovely and Peaceful

"This is a nice conversion in a rural location but not too far from Rovinj and from the beachfront areas outside of Rovinj (walkable in 30 minutes or drivable in 5). Very nice outdoor area and small pool, reasonably comfortable interior. A mix of old decor / furnishing and modern but providing all that is required for a self-catering break away in the peaceful countryside. Gordan, the 'next-door' manager was very helpful in spite of language barriers (but not intrusive) - though we needed to call him on the phone when we arrived as he did not appear to have received our messages en-route but he came immediately to welcome us. He also immediately organised to replace the TV which was not working -(likely taken out by electrical storm the previous week). There were things that could have been better done (generally small things, batteries for clocks, gas lighter empty, light bulbs out, fridge makes a lot of odd noises! and there were a lot of flies (but there are at home in Italy at present - it seems to be the season of flies). The nearby pigs and donkeys only added to the occasion and were not at all a problem for us or our two dogs, who were entirely at home within 12 hours - having a functional and secure outdoor space for them was brilliant. Overall, we had a very nice week of peace and quiet. if you want to be in the bustle of Rovinj or within walking distance, then this would not be for you, but if you have a car or like a good walk, it is ideal. Air-con a plus!"
