"The virtual check-in was interesting. The assistant was cool. The check-in info we got varied though, not sure if the lobby closed at 9 or 10pm. So we really rushed to get there. The room was clean and comfortable, a bit on the rustic side. Bed was comfy. Shower worked and was hot. Unfortunately, as with most motels that have limited parking, our neighbors parked their big diesel truck right in front of the unit and let it idle for a half hour starting at 6 am. "It was our first time in the UP and the lodge was perfect. My wife and I loved, and spent most of every evening in the lounge area playing the pinball and dart games. "A small no frills motel. Check in was wonderful and Todd was very friendly and full of information. The motel is located on the main street of Hurley within walking distance of several restaurants and pubs. I was worried about street noise but it was fairly quiet. No hair dryer in the bathroom but the room was clean and great for a one night stay. Todd made biscuits and gravy for breakfast and they were wonderful. "

"Stayed for the weekend - perfect for the two of us. There are two bedrooms in unit 1, one queen and one bedroom with two bunk beds. Kitchen with stove and microwave and full refrigerator. Small living room area to sit with couch and comfy chair. Outside was nice. Fire pit and an upper deck with gas fire pit. Nice view of the area. Gas grill on site too. Overall clean and cozy. Host was very responsive too. Great for our weeekend. "
