Long Version:

Location! Location! Location!

With a sprawling 3,200 Sq. ft of living area spread across 3 stories, this home boasts 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms and a wall of windows in the front of the house that reveals the vistas of the tranquil and pastoral North Cove, a glimpse of the Blue Ridge Parkway along the top of the mountain opposite the home, and through the north windows is a view of Hawk’s Bill, a scenic and popular hiking destination. The long-range views and spectacular sunsets provide ever-changing panoramas as the seasons unfold.
If air travel is desired, Asheville Regional Airport is 46 miles, and Charlotte-Douglas International Airport is 72 miles.

Master suite (Main level)

This master bedroom is large, with a California king log bed, log nightstands with lamps on either side and has a full bathroom attached. It also has a closet, a large dresser and a clothes rack. This room has short range mountain views and the moon view through the windows on the left side of the bed is simply gorgeous. Tons of natural light.

Bedroom 2 (Upper Level)
This is bedroom is huge and could easily have been 3 bedrooms. Boasts a Cali-king log bed, dresser, large walk in closet, a sitting area with a pull out sofa that sleeps an additional 2 people. Also has a large attached bathroom.

Bedroom 3 (Lower level)
This is one of the two bedrooms on the lower level. It has a queen bed, nightstands, a tall dresser and a closet with a clothes rack. It also has a bathroom right outside.

Bedroom 4 (Upper level)
This is the 2nd bedroom on the lower level. It has 2 twin bunk beds.

There is also a very comfortable day bed in the game room that pulls out to a queen bed.

Main Level Living Room:

The main level living room is open concept with 26 feet high ceilings, comfortable couches, and large Samsung Crystal UHD smart television with access to Netflix, Hulu, Amazon video, ESPN +, HBO Max, Disney Plus.

Upper Level Living Room:

Attached to the upper bedroom, the upper level boasts another bonus living room with a ton of space to hang back and relax. For larger parties (more than 8), this level has a comfortable pullout sofa that sleeps 2.

Kitchen:

The large open concept kitchen is on the main level. It is a fully equipped kitchen. You have your basics such as a stove, oven, fridge with ice dispenser, large microwave and a dishwasher. But also it is fully equipped with pots, pans, all kinds of utensils, cookware, cutlery, electric kettle, coffee grinder, coffee maker, air fryer, 4 slice toaster, blender, silverware, etc. As a bonus to bakers, there is a professional 5 qtr. Game Room:

The game room is in the lower level. It has a comfortable couch, other seating options and a top of the line regulation size Olausson 8 ft. slate pool table. The pool cues are also some of them best and we make sure there are plenty of chalks to keep the games sharp. The kitchen has a dedicated cabinet for a fully equipped first aid kit and all kinds of over the counter medication.

Quiet Privacy & Wildlife

Located in a quiet subdivision that has, the eastern side of this property borders the Pisgah National Forest, affording ultimate privacy. The lots below and on either side of this home remain undeveloped, offering further privacy and a glimpse of a variety of wildlife. Black Bear, Deer, Wild Turkeys, Gray Fox, Raccoon, Rabbits and an elusive Bob Cat, as well as a wide variety of song birds, have all been spotted through the generous expanse of windows in the home. Amazing Ruby-throated Hummingbirds provide natural entertainment from April through mid-September, and the price of admission is merely a feeder filled with sugar water.

Adventures Close at Hand

Linville Caverns is located 5 miles north on US Highway 221. Less than 10 miles to the north, via the Blue Ridge Parkway, is the access to Linville Falls and the Linville Gorge Wilderness Area. Within a 60 to 90 minute drive on US 221 North are the charming and quaint towns of Valle Cruces, Banner Elk, and Blowing Rock, in addition to Boone. Along the way you may want to check out Grandfather Mountain State Park and its famous swinging bridge. If you enjoy a college-town vibe, Appalachian State University is in Boone. If traveling via the Blue Ridge Parkway, there are numerous trailheads for hiking along this route, as well as Overlooks that provide expansive vistas of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The engineering marvel that is Linn Cove Viaduct is also along this route. In winter, skiing is available at Appalachian Ski Mountain located between Boone and Blowing Rock; and also at Beech Mountain, or at Sugar Mountain in Banner Elk. In summer, there are public beaches at Lake James to the south, only a 15-minute drive from Marion.

"Hawk's Nest was incredible! It was easy to find, extremely clean. You will find any kind of kitchen utensil, pot, pan, air fryer, kitchen aid mixer, coffee pot with filters, dishes, just to name a few. The laundry room is fully stocked. Beds are super comfy. Bathrooms and showers are fully stocked with towels, washcloths, tissue paper, kleenex, shampoo, body wash, etc. The deck is huge. The fire pits are wonderful. The views are breath taking. The 8 person Bullfrog hot tub is relaxing with a waterfall, lights, and music. Awesome pool table. There are games for kids, WiFi, Samsung TV with fire stick. Log in with your credentials to watch Disney+, Netflix, Hulu etc. The lazy boy recliner will spoil you. The bear crossing sign is LEGIT! I saw black bears roaming around eating berries on at least 4 different occasions [during my one week stay]. Fill the hummingbird feeder with sugar water and watch the show!! This place is fantastic. Rakib quickly addresses any concerns. We'll be back!"

Family Thanksgiving
We were very pleased with our stay and feel that the cabin was a big part of our excellent vacation. The home is at the highest point of the neighborhood, which did take longer to get to when we left out to explore everyday, but it was very private and we felt like we had a large part of the mountain to ourselves. The slow internet caused a little culture shock at first but turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Between the pool table, fire pit, and (thankfully modern) boardgames we had an awesome family experience. The outdoor hottub was unfortunately not working during our stay. We hope it is up and running again shortly because we are already considering our next trip!

Beautiful house, stunning views, perfect family getaway. This is a rare gem of a home!
This is a gorgeous house with incredible views. It was a perfect getaway for our family of six, including four adult children. We spent our vacation cooking family meals in the modern, fully equipped kitchen, playing games around the table, lounging around on the many couches and chairs in the living room, playing games of pool in the first floor game room, or just sitting on the deck, all while watching the constantly changing weather, including some spectacular sunrises and sunsets. When we weren't relaxing in the gracious and comfortable house, we were exploring the waterfall and wading pools just inside the neighborhood entrance, hiking the nearby Linville gorge and enjoying the truly breathtaking views of the Linville Falls, or visiting the Linville Caverns -- all of which were just a few minutes away by car. The owners are friendly and incredibly responsive. We would definitely rent this property again, and highly recommend it to anyone.
