Dar Kandi exceeded our expectations and was even better than we had hoped for! The hotel was an oasis of beautiful calm in amongst the craziness which is central Marrakesh. Riad was outstanding. Only 5 rooms so not overbearing with other guest,( that’s if you actually even saw them) Perfect location. Clean and very relaxing. Dinner in first night was awesome. Host very helpful with whatever questions you gave her. Suggested a amazing restaurant for our last night within a 5 min walk. Highly recommend.

Great Riad, well appointed and good value.
A super Riad in the Medina but on the outskirts. The manic souks are moments away but the Riad is in a quiet side turning. Beautifully appointed and with staff who go out of their way to help, guide and assist. Recommend eating there - at least one night - take advantage of the in house Hammam (extra cost) and soak up the sun on the rooftop terrace.

Mixed feelings
Mixed feelings really. Room was lovely and service was good however a couple of things left us probably not going to return. Frist our invoice wasnt given to us and instead, upon asking, it was showed to us on a spreadsheet. Which was hiding the very high cost of the few drinks and servuces we purchased. Second, drinking water isnt free despite being a luxury property. Much cheaper accomodations provide this complimentary. If you want any more then the two 33cl bottles provided in your room, you will have to pay (~£3!). Overall we were overpaying for things that were very cheaply found a few meters from the property.

Our stay at Dar Kandi was exceptional! The Riad was located in the quiet side of the Medina, walking distance to all the major sites. It was stunningly and beautifully decorated, with a serene and relaxing ambiance. Each room with a different theme, luxurious, and romantic. The staff is a true example of exceptional hospitality! Upon arrival we were greeted by the manager Aouatif, who treated us like long lost family, warm, sweet, thoughtful and always one step ahead, making sure all of our needs were met throughout our entire stay. She even checked on us after we left, to make sure we had arrived at our next destination safely. The staff was extremely hospitable and fabulous! Their attention to detail and the service provided was nothing short of excellent. The meals were delicious and we were privileged to be invited to join the staff in their Eid celebration, which was quite a treat for us. Our experience at Dar Kandi is one we will never forget. The warmth of the staff, the kindness and thoughtfulness shown to us will always be remembered with deep gratitude and appreciation. The LeNoirs
