Mountain getaway
We had a great time. The property is beautiful, house is great for a family & the views are spectacular. Close to the quaint town of Marshall and not too far from Asheville. The driveway is as described, but after the first couple times it is not too scary. The only negative: get a new coffee pot, it took an hour to brew. Tried cleaning with vinegar, helped a little. We hope to come back in the fall!

Amazing Cabin, Fantastic Views!
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our group stayed at this cabin for a long weekend in Asheville and we loved everything about this cabin! Plenty of room for our group of 5, beautiful views of the mountains and large river below. The hot tub was a great addition as well! We visited the Biltmore and downtown Asheville, both only a short drive away! One thing to be aware of is the driveway leading up to the cabin is steep! We didn’t have any issues with our cars but something to be aware of when deciding who might be driving! Overall this cabin was fantastic and we will be back for sure!

Hilltop Retreat
This cabin has all the amenities that our party needed--plenty of beds, baths, well-furnished, and well-stocked kitchen. The view of the river from the mountain-top is a bonus. We saw a mother bear with three cubs walk along the driveway! Great for getting out of town and enjoying solitude. We did not take advantage of the hot tub. My travel party spent most of our sightseeing time in Asheville and at the Biltmore mansion. For that purpose, the drive to the cabin was a bit far. The driveway is the most inconvenient part of the home, however. It is steep, mostly unpaved, and required us to stop and back up three times to negotiate the hairpin turns. I would not be discouraged from staying there. Just keep in mind that it is not super-convenient to downtown, and the driveway is pretty steep.

Fall visit
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very nice home with absolutely spectacular views. We had poor weather so the colours were tough to see. I can only imagine how beautiful with the sun out. If you’re looking for a very private a peaceful getaway, this is the place. It was too far and remote for our purposes. It was not easy to find. The driveway up to the home was steep and impassable for many cars. AWD is a must. Management company was very responsive albeit we were not able to get the fireplace to work. In all, a good but not perfect experience.

Great Cabin with Beautiful River Views
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This cabin has everything you need for a relaxing stay in the mountains. Great porch views, jacuzzi, and fire pit. Comfortable beds and Piped in Grill that was awesome! Only reason giving four stars is the driveway. Steep does not adequately describe the issues. Also, location needs to be better marked. Do not arrive at night for first night so you can see the switchbacks. First switchback has landing that can be used to backup and build speed. Smaller lighter cars can't handle the grade or gravel. Tahoe was fine but took some skill in the rainy conditions. Finally, there are bears. Trash management was an issue because containers are uncovered.

Fantastic Getaway
We had a great experience. The cabin is situated just perfectly on the property. It is obvious as written in the welcome packet that the family took their time finding the optimal site to build on. It was very clean, well maintained and everything from the grill to the hot tub and firepit were in great shape. The driveway garners the bulk of the comments but it has fresh pavement on the lower third, existing pavement on the middle third and is well compacted gravel on the upper and flattest part. The switchbacks are tight, but we took our suburban up it with a 3 point turn at each and never put a tire off of the asphalt so it shouldn't deter anyone from missing out on what awaits at the top. The sound of the rapids below on the French Broad provide a nice constant white noise and the comfortable chairs on the front porch are perfect for just parking yourself their for a long period of time. We had our family of 4 and my wife's parents and the 3 floors worked just fine for us. We enjoyed the board games from upstairs and watching the deer and turkey come and go. Also got in some quality birdwatching and walked all of the trails. Marshall had a few nice little places to check out and we enjoyed dinner along the river at Mad Co Brew House on our final night after grilling most of the time. Loved that the grill was hooked up to a large in ground tank as it seems the grill is always out of propane at most rentals with the little tanks! DirecTV worked fine and wifi speeds were around 25Mbps which was fine for our family and I could've worked remotely with that had a chosen to but fortunately did not have to. Verizon also stunningly had 5G service there as well and others with T-mobile had fine LTE service also. I'd recommend using as little of allof that stuff as possible however and enjoy the cabin and property for what it is. Anyhow we had a great stay and everyone agreed this would be a great place for a return visit. Thanks so much to the family and also to Turnkey for a great property and easy experience.

Fabulous
What a great get-away. We can't say enough good things about this cabin. The cabin, the grounds, the amenities, the hot tub, the views were all above our expectations. Plenty of towels, linens, flatware, silverware, glasses, pots and pans and cooking utensils. We WILL stay there again. Everyone mentions the driveway being difficult. We never had to put our vehicles in 4WD. It's actually a fun ride up to the cabin. The flow of the French Broad River below us was a beautiful sound. Plus, you get to drive along the river on the way there. We saw deer, turkeys and a small bear on the property while we were there :-) You will not regret reserving this cabin, it was wonderful!

An Enjoyable Stay
I rented the cabin with three friends for a three-day creative retreat, and it lived up to expectations. While the driveway was a challenge, the view of the French Broad River was spectacular, and the site provided good creative inspiration. The hot tub and fire pit were both excellent, and the kitchen was well equipped (though missing a spatula, though we were able to make do easily enough). The beds were comfortable, though the downstairs bedroom was a bit chilly at night. My only real complaint is that the downstairs and first floor bathrooms weren't stocked with towels. Other than that, my friends and I loved it and had a wonderful time.

Great getaway
My husband and I have now stayed at this property twice and we love it. It’s secluded, has a beautiful view, and we love the location. It is about a 30 minute drive to Asheville, 10 minutes to downtown Marshall and close to a couple other areas as well. If you want to be away from everything but close enough to town to go out to dinner or visit a museum, the arts district, biltmore estate etc this is a great place which we would recommend. It’s also good to note it is about 10 minutes from a grocery store as well so very convenient if you’re buying food to cook for your stay or forgot to bring an essential with you.

Beautiful log cabin
Great log cabin in Madison County right outside Asheville. Beautiful view of the French Broad from the front porch. Cabin was perfect for our party of 6. Photos are accurate. Easy access to rafting and other activities in and around Marshall and easy drive into Asheville. The driveway is steep as advertised, and our SUVs did fine with it.
