The Green House: Luxe Eco Escape

Architecturally designed modern 'green house'. Set in a private road, this four bedroom holiday home is a retreat for holidaymakers. Complete with a bespoke kitchen, wall-mounter EV fast charger, underfloor heating, solar-power, full house air-to-water air conditioning, eco spa, outdoor living and dining. The Space:
Open plan living, dining and kitchen with a cathedral ceiling, polished concrete floors. The dining table seats eight and the kitchen is complete including a double oven, double fridge with filtered water and ice, dishwasher, microwave, blender and Delonghi Automatic Espresso Machine. Solar power, carpeted bedrooms and tiled bathrooms all with underfloor central heating and full house water-to-air air conditioning. One of the only fully temperature controlled holiday houses in Martinborough, and trust us, you need it for total comfort all year round.

The facilities
- Private eco spa pool, oversized deck, outdoor lounge suite, outdoor dining suite and gas BBQ.
- Unlimited wifi, 55inch television, AppleTV, AppleTV+, Netflix, Freeview, Neon, Disney+, Amazon Prime, Sky Sport Now, bluetooth sound bar, and board games.
- Access to Pinot Grove’s saltwater swimming pool and paddling pool just 330 meters away (open Labour weekend to Easter weekend), tennis court (rackets and balls in the house) and trampoline.
- Toasty warm in winter, cool in summer. Underfloor central heating throughout, full house eco water-to-air air conditioning.
- Two bathrooms, walk-in shower, free-standing bath.
- Fully equipped laundry including iron, ironing board and clothesline.
- All the essential equipment for infants is available including: highchair, cot, toys, tableware.
- UV water filtration, so all the water in the house is pure filtered water.

The rooms
- The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, bedside tables/lighting, walk-in wardrobe with shelving, armchair, air conditioning, ensuite and walk-on access to the front courtyard.
- Bedroom 2 has a queen-sized bed, air conditioning, bedside tables/lighting, wardrobe space and shelving. Bedroom 2 uses the main bathroom. Opens onto the front courtyard.
- Bedroom 3 has a queen-sized bed, bedside tables/lighting, air conditioning, wardrobe space and shelving. Bedroom 3 uses the main bathroom.
- Bedroom 4 has a super king-sized bed, that can be converted into twin singles, bedside tables/lighting, air conditioning, wardrobe space and shelving. Note: the bed will be set up as a super king-sized bed, unless we are advised otherwise.

Fabulous house in Martinborough
We stayed here for a family wedding. There were eight of us in the house. The house was really well kitted out, especially in the kitchen, with plenty of cutlery, plates, glasses etc and cooking equipment. This is always great appreciated. It wax beautifully warm, bedding and rooms were lovely. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great place for a family getaway
Really lovely house with wonderful kitchen, we were so impressed with the amount of glasses/plates/cooking accessories. It was a great size for our group (four adults and three children) and everyone loved the spa and nearby trampoline. Nice and cozy, thanks to great insulation and underfloor heating - loved the emphasis on sustainable design.

Fabulous Home
Awesome home. Every fine detail has been thought of right down to a variety of wine glasses (and a complimentary bottle of wine). Love the bathrooms and in particular the luxurious deep bath. Location is great. The owners were only a phone call away and were quick to answer any queries. Will definitely stay again when in Martinborough.

Truly a home away from home!
We have stayed in a lot of VRBO properties and this was one of the best! The hosts were responsive and thoughtful with extra touches to make us feel welcome. The home is immaculate (and we loved the eco-consciousness). The sleeping arrangements were perfect for our family of 5 - each child got their own bedroom and the beds and bedding were super comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to make meals and the back deck provided privacy for al fresco dining and a post-dinner jacuzzi! The location is wonderful, in a quiet neighborhood but walkable to downtown cafes, restaurants, and parks. Highly recommend for the Martinborough traveler!

The house has everything you need. Rooms were spacious, the beds were extremely comfortably wirh quality pillows and linen. We liked all the eco friendly products and equipment that were in the house. Our only concern was that all the fences, window and door frames were covered in a considerable amount of cobwebs. This was a partcular concern for one of our party who is very frightened of spiders.

40th Birthday Celebration
Had such a wonderful stay over the weekend with my girlfriends on the Saturday night. We visited wineries came home and relaxed, made pizza played games made use of the spa and just had such a relaxing stay. Sunday night my 2 boys 6 and 9 stayed with me. We made the most of the comfy couch and tv, the games provided were great too. The house is fantastic! The clipboard might need updating and maybe some instructions on how to heat the home, as we got a bit cold. But other than that awesome home, in quiet area everything we needed for both a girls night and family night. Thank you 😊

The Green House for our family birthday celebration
We had 6 people for 4 nights, 3 days, at The Green House. 3 elderly couples, a bedroom for each couple and the lovely large living area for us all, plenty large enough for cooking, eating, watching TV and playing board games. It was autumn and the weather not conducive for outside living but that would have been nice in the warmer weather. The house is delightful with all conveniences. Lovely bedrooms with very comfortable beds (tho the duvets we found a bit hot). The spa pool is a bonus after a busy day 🥰. A very nice touch was the pink bubbly from Wairarapa, and the chocolates, courtesy of the house ❤️. Thank you, we did appreciate those. A couple of comments: We found the tap in the main bathroom too close to the basin to get our hands under let alone a glass (for rinsing teeth). The glasses in the kitchen cupboard were so high up we could hardly reach them. The living room comfortably seats 6-8 people but the coffee table doesn’t accommodate them - a larger table, or two of them, would be more practical. The notes need updating as we struggled to find the fireplace in the living area (haha…(as it is not there!), and a few other things. Other than these few niggles we loved the house and had a really wonderful 4 days. Thank you to Maura and Stephen for your lovely house and thoughtful touches, we had a wonderful time.
