"We were welcomed in such a friendly manner by the hotel owner and his family. The hotel is in a lovely natural setting. We stayed in a deluxe room which would probably equate to a basic room in England. There were other more luxurious rooms if you wanted to spend more but the main thing for us was how friendly and helpful everyone was. The meals were delicious and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend this place, whatever quality of room you require."

"Had trouble at first with staff saying booking didnt go through so had to contact hotels via X to sort out. The one staff was a great guy, so freindly and helpful, i was in the area to visit national park and he arranged this for me. Only problem with hotel is internet did not work, and no phone reception in that area either. "

"This place has an awesome pool and good, clean rooms. The location is a short tuk tuk ride from Main St. but otherwise close to... not much. Not that there's much to be close to in Tissa. This hotel is a great base for safaris since you have a sweet pool to go back to after or before. The hotel restaurant is generally very good, so eat here. "My room has lovely high ceilings and a fresh, clean interior. The is a lovely view of the rice paddies. The staff are so lovely and helpful. The safari they organised was exceptional value. Most importantly thier home-cooking is excellent. "

"Cabanas located in trees - you are literally sleeping outside. Different experience, but nice. Be aware that animals may enter, and the river is very close by, so maybe not so good for people who needs complete silence to sleep. Staff very helpful and nice!"

"This property was vacant and no one else staying there. I felt unsafe here, there was no warm water. The towels were hard, only one toilet paper. The fridge was faulty. I didn’t want to have breakfast as I was worried about the standard of hygiene. It really smelt like animal faecal matter due to the cows and buffaloes near by. "
