"Villa La Luna was a terrific place to stay, and I'm just sorry I was there for only one night. I had been on a trip prior so had a heavy suitcase to lug up and down the many stairs to get to the hotel. Both times, the men working there kindly helped me with it. The room was super clean with an amazing view out a large window, and the location was just five minutes walking to the beach and right next to all the restaurants and stores. My only suggestion would be to have mosquito nets or screens...

"We had an amazing week in Estacahuite! Felicia and Luis’s apartments are perfectly located just steps from the beach. We stayed in apartment 1 and enjoyed our mornings on the deck, watching the sun rise and the local fish boats returning with the daily catch, and our afternoons watching the humpback whales. The apartment is super clean, spacious, and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and go out of their way to make sure guests feel at home. Luis picked us up from the airport...

"If you want a quiet place with nice views this is it,a car or taxis a must,15 min hike down to Playa la Mina,unit is in need of some maintenance,worn out fry pans etc.no hot water for kitchen sink,bathroom sink no hot water,toilet flush sticky etc. Basically a small studio type room"

Cheladas in Paradise

"So fortunate to have spent a week in paradise! Casa Ofelia is off the beaten path, right on the ocean and has everything you need to spend a relaxing week in paradise! My room was spacious, authentic and right on the water! The luxury of listening to the thunderous waves every night was impressive. Kudos to Mari & Carmen for making delicious breakfasts and lunches. Chef Arturo aims to please and will whip up whatever you crave! A special shout out to Luis for helping me along the way. One note, Mazunte is not Cancun, you will not find hordes of tourists, Walmarts, Oxxo's etc. Due to recent rains some of the roads are washed out, so bring proper shoes if you want to explore. It's about a 10-15 minute walk into town down a dirt road with stones and pot holes. Looking for a reliable and honest taxi? Then call Carlos on WhatsApp! "This was an incredible experience. Zoa was very attentive to all of my questions prior to our getaway; they made me feel secure, welcome, and excited about choosing them. Solomon and Victor are fantastic; they reached out a day before our arrival to make sure all of the questions were answered. They sent us menus, maps, and so much more. The property itself is stunning, and I loved being onsite. The food is absolutely delicious; I wanted to eat all my meals thereafter I tried the first dish. They prepared a romantic anniversary dinner for my husband and me on the terrace overlooking the ocean. I can't say enough about Zoa, I can't wait to go back. "

"The house itself was quite cute. Comfy bed, cute decor and decently well equipped kitchen. The problem for us was that the address was vague. There was no Casa name given so we had to ask around. Had we not had a car rented, there was no way we could have stayed. We had a small child that wouldn't walk the distance. The casa is down a fairly sketchy, long, bumpy dirt road full of construction. We had no idea this was the case (even tho we asked about walking distance to the beach) The next problem was (and no fault of the owners) but the night time noise was almost unbearable. Dogs barking insistently and there is a disco or bar very near that has music pumping into the wee hours. The house was nice tho as I said before. They need to improve the yard and the upstairs deck with some shade and less construction materials and it would be a much nicer environment. The owner, tho not present was very quick to address a few issues while we were there. A decent stay"

Privacy with whitewater ocean views

"At the top of the 160-step winding stairway thru sub-tropical rain forest lies an amazing habitation with magnificent whitewater views. The beautiful complex of 6 separate cabanas was artfully designed and constructed by the architect-owner. Enjoy the birdsongs from your private patio overlooking the forest/ocean, or cool off in the infinity pool overlooking the waves. Staff was attentive and served us the best huevos a la Mexicana and espresso cafes of our entire Oaxaca trip."
