Wonderful Stay!
Our family had a wonderful time at the cottage. Our kids had a blast digging in the sand and searching for treasures in the water. The house was super clean, which made for a worry-free stay with a crawling baby and active toddler. The hosts have thought of every detail, highly recommend!

Family Vacation
We can’t say enough about this property and the great time our family had. This was one of the cleanest places we have ever rented. The kitchen had everything we needed, bathrooms were stocked with all the necessities and the beds were comfortable. Our 3 year old grandson loved the sand and the shallow water. We enjoyed fishing in our boat or off the dock. The communication with Michael and Shannon was exceptional. Wish we had stayed longer.

A great weekend getaway
A Great Lake property perfect for a group of 8. House was well cleaned and had a very cozy feeling. Kitchen was well stocked. Kayaks and paddle boats were available to be used in the lake. The backyard was beautiful with a fire pit and gas grill. We spent maximum time in the backyard and it was just beautiful and very relaxing. Michael was very helpful with prompt responses and made sure our stay was comfortable. Would definitely visit again.

Everything you can image is there! spices, tons of games, plenty of dishes, washer/dryer, sunscreen and lotion, grill, kayaks, waterboard, fishing dock, swimming dock. Very well decorated. Lots of room. Nice deck off the house. Very cozy and comfy. Only negative, wish we had a pontoon! Grandkids LOVED IT!

Beautiful, Well-Stocked Property
We had a wonderful vacation at this property! Everything was exactly as described in the listing. The property has been beautifully taken care of and is well-stocked. The only thing we really had to bring with us was clothes and food! The owners answered all questions quickly and were great at providing additional details. They even checked in on us a couple times during our stay to make sure everything was going well. The overall location was great (small stores and restaurants right down the road), and the property's location (directly across from the small island) made for some lovely views. Please stay here. You won't be disappointed!

Labor-day weekend at Restmore
We had a very nice time at the Restmore cottage. The cottage was clean and well-appointed. The lake is smallish, but we enjoyed paddling around on the provided kayaks and paddle board. The sandy bottom was a nice change from other places we've stayed. The closeness of the neighbors is not ideal--it was a busy weekend, so it felt a bit crowded. The neighbors were friendly and did their best to keep their dogs from coming to visit. Fortunately, we love dogs and watching the dogs on one side chase toys thrown in the water was a delight. The gas-powered mowing, blowing, and weed whacking, however, was not a delight and seemed to go on much of the time we were there. It got pretty noxious on Labor Day. I guess this is the weekend a lot of folks close up their cottages for the winter so perhaps that is the reason. The cottage and the lake are very nice. Overall, a great time with family and we would return.

Relaxing getaway
I went here with my mom and daughter. Overall the house is amazing and had everything we needed and was spotless! The lake was also great, we swam, floated and my daughter and I took the kayaks out a couple of times. Lake was busy on weekends but the weekdays are quieter. It was nice and relaxing sitting on the deck having coffee in the mornings. Definitely will recommend to others and would love to come back!

Great Getaway
We very much enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cottage. It was supplied with everything we could have asked for and more. The lake is very clean, and my kids enjoyed swimming in it, and fishing for bass and even a few pike. The kayaks and paddle board included were an added bonus. A great place for rest, relaxation, and a lot of fun!

Relax, play, and enjoy!
We had such a great vacation at Restmore. The cottage is well supplied with everything you need, quiet, peaceful, lots of space, kayaks, cornhole, beautiful lake, friendly neighbors and more! Adorable cottage
This home was cozy and well equipped. Enjoyed sitting on the lanai and listening to the loons morning and evenings. The kids loved fishing off the dock and jumping off the raft. This is an adorable cottage where you can be as active or as chill as you want.

Perfect for an active group, or for a relaxing get away
The swim area is shallow and mostly sandy. There's a large selection of chairs, floats, toys, games, etc. and two kayaks. There's a raft with a table and built in chairs not far out from the end of the dock. Looking out from the back deck the view is the wooded side of an island. The house is comfortable, check out process is straight forward. The screened in porch, deck and fire pit make a perfect relaxing evening. We couldn't believe how quiet the neighborhood is. Hope to make it back next summer!

Wonderful week at the lake cottage
My family spent a lovely week at this clean and beautiful lake cottage. We were particularly impressed with the outdoor space, and well-equipped kitchen. Our young children had a blast swimming in the lake all day; only interrupted by games of cornhole, fishing off of the dock, and roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. The lake was gorgeous, with great fishing, and the no-wake times in mornings and evenings created a peaceful environment.

Beautiful Lake Cottage
This place was absolutely beautiful and very clean. The owners were extremely responsive and answered any questions very quickly. They house had everything you could need to enjoy your stay. It was at a very convenient location and close to some great restaurants, less than a mile from a grocery store and gas station. The lake is beautiful and clean and the beach area was great to build sand castles. I highly recommend this place!

If you’re looking for a charming, clean lake house, this is it. The furnishings are comfortable. The kitchen is well supplied. Deck, yard and dock are perfectly situated, especially if you bring kids. The use of kayaks and paddle board is a plus. Our family agreed that we would return.

Summer 2021
Had a really great experience. The house was perfect for my family of 5. Everything was clean, the kitchen was well stocked, and the beds were comfortable. The lake was crowded on the weekend but the swim platforms protected the space between the doc and the platform keeping it safer for the kids to play. Got a lot of use out of the kayaks and paddle board. The fire pit was clean and ready for use. I enjoyed the week and highly recommend!!

Excellent Getaway
Each year my immediate family go on vacation together and this year we chose this cottage. It was seamless to check-in, the house was spotless and decorated very cute! The beds were all very comfortable and clean, but the outdoor area was our favorite part! We used the kayaks and paddleboard daily. The kids also loved to swim out to the platform that was in the lake. Mike and Shannon are amazing owners. They made sure we had everything we needed and they checked in on us via text throughout our stay to make sure we had everything we needed as well!! Will definitely be coming back!

Best stay ever on a lake in Michigan! What are you waiting for?
I almost don't want to write a review because I want to leave this property hidden! But alas, the wealth must be shared. The review of this has to begin with the two host, Shannon and Michael. Super communicative throughout our stay, and they were always checking on how to make our stay better. The house had plenty of room for an "up north" trip, was fully stocked with towels, linens and even condiments. On top of that, there was so much to do on property! We had a bonfire, used the kayaks and paddleboards, and Michael helped us secure a rental for a pontoon from a local hardware store (Travis Hardware - also an awesome experience!). Don't worry about the "no central air". That was a concern for us, but the two window units kept the whole place cool. Beside that, the cool night air from the lake worked well too. Finally, the grill and the view from the deck made outdoor eating an event. You won't find a better place on this for a small family get together (we had 4 adults and 4 kids).

Superb lakeside vacation!
We had a wonderful stay at The Cottage at Restmore! Michael and Shannon went out of their way to make the cottage delightfully comfortable, with every imaginable amenity for our use. The entire home was clean and welcoming, with a fully-stocked kitchen, clean linens and towels, games, books, wifi, Netflix - all the things you need for a wonderful, relaxing vacation. We loved the kayaks, stand-up paddleboard, and pontoon boat. Despite a power outage in the neighborhood, our cottage was not affected because of the backup generator. All in all, a truly magical vacation - we would love to return in the future.

Relaxing Lake Getaway
This was our second stay at this property and we would highly recommend it! Michael and Shannon are so accommodating and great to work with. The property has everything you need - just bring your clothes. The grandkids were so excited about the addition of the floating raft and we appreciated the Keurig! The lake is serene and with the no wake period set from 7:30 PM - 11:00 AM you can kayak safely and have great evening cruises. A great relaxing week with lots of family memories!
