"We were traveling from the USA and were looking for something in Central Switzerland that would be nice, quiet, beautiful and easily accessible by train or bus. "Disappointment was an understatement. Besides the fact that the hotel manager had some racist undertones in his talk, the staff was uncomfortably odd. Their mission is to be eco-friendly, which is great, but their mission of living in a commune & not liking tourists makes it worrisome. No TV is allowed. Men are asked to sit to pee. Music is discouraged. Going into town is frowned upon. BEWARE OF EXTRA CHARGES! The hotel insists that you eat meals with them. It is cheaper to eat meals...

"Our stay was just about perfect. There were six of us, and we couldn't have found a spot that fitted our needs better (spending mornings walking and appreciating the local surrounds, and afternoons exploring Luzern, Interlaken, and lots of scenic places nearby). Their homemade cheese was delicious as well! The beds were comfortable, and the house had everything we needed. Highly recommend!"
