The pillows smelled, clearly hadn’t been washed. The towels hadn’t been washed recently either. The bathroom was clean, cheap and very close to Epworth Eastern. The staff were nice & kind enough to allow late checkout

We booked our stay in order to have close access to the Epworth Hospital as we had an appointment at 7:15AM. The City Edge was ideally located to the hospital, shops, public transport and restaurants. The room was more than adequate for a one night stay. Limited Parking (Safe & Secure) was available under the building at the cost of $15.00 which I thought reasonable as on street parking was limited. The one staff member we encountered was very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean but had seen better days. I found the bed comfortable but I would have liked a top sheet as it was quite warm in the room. The room had a Television, micro wave, electric jug, a small refrigerator, a dishwasher, a washing machine but no toaster. The minimum amount of cups, plates and cutlery was also provided. Would be happy to stay again in the same circumstances.

Tossing up between 3 and 4 stars. The location to Box Hill train station, Box Hill Hospital and Epworth Eastern is fantastic. Only 5 min walk from each. Front desk was great, helpful and friendly. The room looks bigger in the photos, there was not a lot of space to the room. No Foxtel, although that's not a big deal. The bed was a little hard, but that's just a personal thing. The shower head was loose, so having a shower was a chore. The worst part though was the air conditioner. It sounded like there was an airplane taking off in the room it was so loud, so we could only have it on for short periods of time before we got a headache.

The property is being used as emergency public housing so a lot of shady people and loud noises and screams throughout the night. Rooms are not soundproof, nor is there any climate control as advertised. Just a broken AC that keeps turning off plus no extra blankets so I couldn't sleep. Noisy, smelly,dirty, unsafe. Avoid at all costs.

Good location, walking distance to shopping and eateries. Apartment is little old but ok. Toilet basin have stains, 1 of pillowcases have stains too. I called to arrange after hours check in. Staffs said will msg me details but never received. After hours contact was on front door though. Toiletries and towels are provided. Overall experiences is good.

The hotel looked nothing like the photo, it was dirty foot prints and spills on the walls, stains all over the carpet, poo stains all over the toilet seat but worst of all was the smell of cigarettes which was attempted to be masked by male aftershave. Do not stay here it’s disgusting.

Room was very clean, but, notices in room states if we didn't remove rubbish or didnt do dishes we would be a charge of $50 each extra for not doing. Also i dont like sleeping in a bed with no TOP sheet, just a doona, very unhealthy. How often is cover changed. Overall rest was good. Sorry

The entrance was overgrown and the 2 mats at the entrance were worn out and dirty. The non smoking rules are not working. We paid extra for a patio to get fresh air but most of the time we had to be inside with the door shut due the smoking very close to us, maybe in the on site car park under the appartments.
