Perfect Escape
Perfect location on Mud Island. Soothing atmosphere, peaceful surroundings, beautiful property. Enjoyed walking the neighborhood to the mighty Mississippi trails. Going to Paulette’s for the Shrimp and grits was by far the best we’ve had. We’re looking forward to returning next year!

The property and area were beautiful, as women traveling we felt very safe. One thing we did notice was the dining table was wobbling and also not a lot of seating in the living room area,(the chair was not comfortable) other than that it was perfect.

Great neighborhood, Paulette’s was great, the little neighborhood store was perfect. Only thing I would update would be to trim the front bushes, had to walk in the dirt off the side walk as the bushes are overgrown, and clear the cobwebs. Other than that was perfect for stay in Memphis

We stayed in this home on Mud Island, and our experience was far better than any hotel room we have ever stayed in, in Memphis. Stuart was on top of everything, providing everything you might think of (or forget to bring on a trip.) Mud Island is minutes from downtown Memphis, parking is easy, and it is extremely safe. You can walk everywhere, and strolls up and down the river are superb. Bottom line, this home is wonderfully comfortable, convenient, and has EVERYTHING you can ask for. Don't hesitate to stay here!

Everything you want when visiting Memphis
We really lucked out with this property. It's located right in the middle of a very nice neighborhood. Everything there is well kept and tons of people walking dogs, running etc on the "island". The location was amazing, everything we wanted to visit in Memphis seemed to be about 5-20 minutes away. Graceland, Sun Studio, Beale Street etc. The property itself was very clean and has a nice spacious great room where we could all hang out together while watching TV, cooking, doing a puzzle, you name it. Definitely would recommend for anyone looking to come experience Memphis.

Mud Island Home Stay
While we appreciated the location of the Mud Island home, we felt that the home had some problems that should have been addressed before our stay. The toilet in the bathroom at the back of the home was not attached to the floor, so it rocked when you sat on it, and we were concerned about it leaking. One of the sinks in the bathroom at the front of the home did not have water coming from the faucet. One of the drapery rods in the dining area was falling down. The dishes from the previous renter were all in the dishwasher, not in the cupboards. There were no washcloths in the bathrooms, and the ice maker was leaving disgusting black bits of what appeared to be dirt or carbon in the ice. Our expectations for cleanliness and well-maintained facilities were not met. The home could definitely use some love.

Communication
Lack of communication from owner or manager. Tried for 2hrs to get access code for entry. Finally called vrbo. Waited while representative tried to contact owner. Then was transferred to supervisor who finally got ahold of owner. Owner didn't know if property was clean or not. He gave us a code and we went in it was cleaned. There were towels but no washcloths. Only one sink worked in main bath. Tv in living room didn't work. Otherwise it was a great location.
