"Could not recommend this hotel more! We had a week of serene relaxation. The hotel is slightly outside the nearest town and not connected by public transport but the hotel is well served by local taxi. Fabulous if you are looking for a relaxing escape! Staff were incredible - polite, friendly, helpful, diligent (the list goes on)! No ask was too big or too trivial and someone was always on hand to help out. We were slightly late in the season so the hotel was quiet (no bad thing) but still had plenty of activities on (walks and exercise classes etc.) and live music on some days with dinner. The rooms are large, clean and well serviced! The spa is phenomenal… we went almost everyday and my fiancée loved her back massage. The pool and beach equally as incredible. The beach is a 15/20 minute drive away on a shuttle service (only a couple of options but this may have been time of year) but this is comfortable and timely. Food and drink options are plentiful at seemingly all hours of the day and we very much enjoyed overindulging at the hotel restaurant. All in all, a very pleasant and enjoyable trip - would certainly return to Almar!"

"2 weeks spent in a fabulous villa with great pool in a peaceful rural location- just what we needed. Shops, restaurants, beaches all near by to visit and explore. Nino looked after us and showed us around the Villa and introduced us to some traditional local cuisine. Would definitely recommend this villa and hope to return again in the future.Martin and Mary are Great hosts. "

"Six stars accommodation! We had a great vacation. The house is very luxurious and accurately refined in all the rooms with autenthic Sicilan colors and materials (Sicily in my imaginary was just like the colours of this house, the ceramic tiles, the stone walls). In short, the best holiday homes we have ever reserved. The bedrooms are very spacious and bright, the kitchen well equipped, the bathrooms clean, new, elegant. The pool area is fantastic and there is a stunning view of the sea. We had delicious BBQ there! (Sicilian fish is highly recommended). We everyday enjoyed our evening cocktail under the olive trees, facing the Mediterranean and the vegetable garden that is at disposal of the guests. We picked-up tomatoes, aubergines, zuchine and lettuche. The nearest town is Menfi at 2 kms. There are good fisheries, supermarkets, and very very good ice-creams and granite (first time tasted it, thumb-up). The sea is about 5 kms away in Portopalo, and as stated on the listing is a very clean water (Blue Flag Beach since over than 20 years). A big thank you to the kind Betty and Enzo who supported all our needs. Definitely, will come back (with my sister’s family who unfortunately had to cancel his journey with us this year).
