"Truly excellent accomodation in Minffordd. Wonderful views of the estuary. Fully firnished with good quality furniture and plenty of crockery. Owner was a delight to meet."
"Poor mattresses, one single power point in twin bedroom , sleeps 4 but only 3 drinking mugs & 3 forks, no kitchen knives, no outdoor furniture even though a notice told you to store it, no where to hang wet towels etc, light switch in double bedroom behind door, loose shower bracket, difficult shower controls, advertised patio is inaccurate, it is merely the shared walkway for the estate.
The location is wonderful.
Overall not worth the price.

"Rooms seem to vary between spacious and elegant and very functional and ‘compact’. No room for chair in my room. Bed was only option. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Meals excellent but not cheapest. Dining areas more basic than other areas. Parking excellent."
"It was a lovely cottage inside and out but very difficult with kitchen being upstairs as my moms not well and finds it difficult doing stairs Then as I open one of the kitchen cupboard it fell off then to finish it off my mom got in the bed on the first night and the bed collapsed on the one side I came to look and the leg had fell off the bed so I was ment to be on holiday and ended up fixing a bed unfortunately it was a short stay for my mom she went home the next day because she didn’t like...
"Nice property. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed the one night we stayed but the morning breakfast was good.
At base of hill where harlech castle sits. Good exercise!
Would recommend."

"Loved the setting! It was so peaceful. The lodge had everything we needed and felt very safe and private. The Internet was a bit patchy, but other than that, it was great."

"Well portioned for easy access to all travel and walking. Stunning views of surrounding mountains. However the village seemed abit run down and dinning opportunities limited. We would suggest the Royal Sportsman hotel for dinning. As we have visited it before and the food and service was excellent. "
"Sweet little cottage right on the harbour overlooking the stunning bay full of birds and the steam train that chugs by a few times a day. Such a great location, easily walkable to the high street for restaurants and shops, and a short drive to Portmerierion. Although there are quite a few of these cottages, because of the big glass doors overlooking the bay you feel that you have the place to yourself!"
"Unfortunately whilst the rest of the country was at the start of a heat wave this area was under cloud & rain for most of our 4 day stay!! The location is great for the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways being about 5mins away and for the centre of Porthmadoc.
The layout of the property is a bit strange. The top-floor consists of two bathrooms (one of them ensuite) and the main bedroom. On the floor below is the other bedroom, plus kitchen/lounge area + a a balcony with a nice view of the harbour & Porthmadoc."
"To stay in a tourist attraction is an amazing experience as you get to see the stunning architecture in the early morning and late evening when the light is at its best. "
"We spent four nights here so we could travel on the trains to Blaenau Ffestiniog and Caernarfon. The situation could hardly have been closer and, although small, was fine for the two of us and had all the facilities we needed. A bonus was that the house was cool in the sudden hot weather we had and was very relaxing after our days out."
