Sugarbush Tiny House/Cabin on 3.2 Acres at the base of Sugarbush-Mount Ellen

Completed in January 2019, the Sugarbush Tiny House/Cabin is a cozy, yet comfortable, 152 SF of space saving design. You will be surprised how the Tiny House lives much larger than it's size.

The Tiny House resides on 3.2 acres of wooded forest at the base of Mount Ellen/Sugarbush. You can ski-in from Lower FIS or Snowflake and the slopes are short walk (approximately 1/2 mile) to the base parking lot/shuttle.

The Tiny House backs up to Lockwood Brook and 20+ acres of Sugarbush owned land.

The Tiny House features an American Leather Comfort Sleeper Sofa which is considered the most comfortable sleeper sofa on the market. It is a technological marvel, easy to use, and its foam mattress guarantees a great night sleep.

The surprisingly well equipped kitchen comes with a refrigerator, one induction burner, convection oven, Keurig K-cup coffee maker and dishwasher. A full assortment of cooking utensils are provided. You will be surprised how much space you have to prepare a meal if you desire! There is also an outdoor propane BBQ and Fire Pit for grilling and smoring!

The Tiny House has a 12' Cathedral Ceiling. Heating is provided by Radiant Floor Heating, a 4000-Watt Micathermic High Output Wall Heater, and a NuTone 1500-Watt Heater/Fan in the Bathroom. The Tiny House easily stays as warm as you desire even in sub-zero temperatures!

High speed Internet (100Mb Down/10Mb Up) and WIFi. Stream your favorite shows on the 55” Vizio Smart TV with Chromecast.

Entipur Water Filtration System on all sinks and shower.

A key is provided to the unheated storage shed (72SF) for Guest's to store/lock up luggage or gear.

There is a Loft (not pictured) in the Tiny House that is used for Owner Storage and is off limits to Guests.

There are clearly visible outside security cameras protecting the windows/door of the Tiny House and inside the storage shed.

Shopping and all your vacation needs are in Waitsfield/Irasville which is 4-5 miles away.

During Winter Months the Mad River Valley runs free shuttles from Mount Ellen to Lincoln Peak to Shopping in Irasville/Waitsfield and many stops in between!

Please note that a 4WD/AWD vehicle is recommended during and just after winter storms, until the roads have been plowed and sanded.

The Tiny House shares the property with a new home that was finished in December 2021 which is approximately 50 feet away and available for separate rental (https://www.vrbo.com/2984038?unitId=3556078).

After booking on HomeAway, the Host will send the Guest a separate confirmation and rental contract spelling out the terms of the rental. Credit card info will be requested, and only used in the case of damage to the rental during Guest’s stay.

8 - Level 2 chargers are available at no charge at the base of Mount Ellen (1/2 mike away - See Pictures).

Cute house, neat and tidy both inside and out. All the conveniences of home tucked away inside. The sofa bed was comfortable, and the shower area was spacious. The host responded quickly to any questions. Great location within a couple miles of the town itself. We had a great stay!

We loved our stay at the Sugarbush Tiny House! It was the perfect location, close to great coffee, shops, and restaurants. Very close to outdoor recreation as well. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The property is stunning! We had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again!

Amazing Location and Amazing Price
The location near the mountain, the peace and quiet, the view from the cabin, and the cabin itself is amazing and perfect for a group of 2 or less. The cabin supplies pretty much everything someone needs to live comfortably, it was clean, well kept and cozy. The price was very reasonable. The owner is very respectful, helpful, and communicative! The only gripe I have is the road leading in to the cabin is terrible, especially after a storm. It’s made of dirt and a little bit of gravel. If you don't have a 4 wheel drive vehicle, you gotta gun it in and out, and pray you don't get stuck. I hope the residence of the neighborhood come up with a better solution to make that road into something better. Besides that, HIGHLY recommend this place!

Tiny but great
The place is nice and has all of the amenities you can fit into a tiny house. I wish they would open the loft so that you don’t have to pull open the couch in order to have a bed, but that is the only downside.

Mike and Joan’s tiny house has a remote and private feel while offering modern and comfortable amenities just minutes from anything you may need. I was struck by the efficient and thoughtful design of the home and how much larger the space felt do to intelligent layout features.

I especially praise the location in thick woods, convenient to the valleys and with a climb up and down VT 17, to Burlington. Not for Boca people that expect 1,000 sq ft bathrooms and huge jacuzzis.

A Quiet and Comfortable Sugarbush Getaway
The tiny home is well designed and beautifully built, maximizing a small footprint. You will find everything you need and luxuries you might not expect. The location could not be better, just down the road from Mt. Ellen's base. All kinds of activities are available just around the corner regardless of the time of year. A couple of things to prepare for: 1. As the owner mentions, If you're traveling in the winter, an all-wheel-drive vehicle with good tires is highly recommended. The road is local, and there's a slight incline to the drive that without these, you might get stuck after a snow storm. 2. My partner and I were surprised by the curtain-only restroom divider. Communication with Mike is effortless, and his response time was always quick if needed. I would recommend staying here, and we certainly look forward to revisiting Vermont!

The Tiny House was perfect for a short getaway to enjoy winter sports in a nice, convenient location. The house is just big enough for a couple to enjoy affordable, modern amenities after a day of skiing at Mt. Ellen or snowshoeing right outside your door. The owners were very nice & helpful. We hope to visit again.
