Comfortable location. Superb breakfast bar under the hotel (Veccia Milano). No slippers due to stone flooring. Thin walls. Noisy. Very inconvenient and small sink that is impossible to reach.

All the hotel smell like weed, it looks really dirty and not clean at all (bathroom, sheets, etc) The area is not far from downtown but is not safe at night, you can tell right away. If you have time, keep looking and don't stay here.

Nice hotel, helpful staff We get what we pay. Construction in next building causing extreme hammer noises , couldn’t sleep in the mornings but it’s not hotel fault.

We arrived at half 11 at night to be greeted by the owner. Lovely person. Hotel our room was clean tidy every day. Fresh towels. Bad point about hotel.. 1. Room needs a little updating. Bedding was in a tired state. Curtains was not v good. And the top of the curtains was hanging off. 2. Snack options. 3. More drink option in the reception fridge. Would I stay here again....? Yes. As it's a minute walk from the metro. Plenty of bars and restaurants in and around. Quiet.

We chose the Hotel Del Sud as it was a decent price relatively close to the city centre. Transport-wise you only had to cross the road outside and go down to the Metro (train station) which would take you pretty much anywhere within reason which was really easy! We found a 72 hour Metro pass for the area was €15 so that sorted us for the stay. The staff at the hotel were really nice and we never had any bother. If you head down the road there is a 24/7 supermarket if you ever needed anything, a McDonalds across the road and a few different restaurants in the area. All round it was cheap and cheerful which satisfied us going on a short break to Milan - we would go again if we returned.

The pictures are way better than the reality. It’s old, smells bad, the elevator fits your body and the luggage and the carpet in the hallway is disgusting. I could survive by myself but I was with my mother and wasn’t a pleasant.

Location wise is accessable and easy to find. Hotel itself,it needs renovation. Not happy with my stay as the television,remote control and air conditioning are not working. Receptionist not helping when I've ask for an alternative like electric fan as the room was so hot. You could hear the noise outside your room. I'm not recommending this hotel.

I have to say i was a bit sceptical when booking this hotel as some comments were scaring me of. But i have to say if you want 5* then pay for 5* all i wanted was a bed to sleep in and a nice hot shower and we also go a balcony which was great. The rooms were clean and also we were asked each morning if we would like the staff to come in and clean the room and give fresh towels which was lovely. The metro is literally 2 minute walk from the hotel, and it goes straight to duomo and central which was perfect for us. There are plenty places to eat right next to the hotel. Plenty pizza, pasta and halal kebab shop, which we went to often, theres a carefour supermarket which is 24 hours round the corner which was perfect to pick drinks and snacks as the hotel only has a tea/coffee machine but there is a lovely cafe literally next door who do some amazing chocolates and espresso and coffee, and few more doors down was a lovely bakery which we loved. The staff in there were so sweet. Theres also a McDonalds right opposite, a pharmacy, plenty hair salons, super cheap for wash and blowdry. And few shisha bars. If i do come back to milan i will definitely be staying here again.
