Located an hour from Brisbane CBD, and just 4km from Boonah town centre, in the heart of the Scenic Rim, Milford Country Cottages offers a country escape with affordable quality accommodation in fully self-contained cottages.

Lyn and John McLean are your friendly country hosts who will make you feel welcome and cater for your needs.

Milford Country Cottages, Bottletree Cottage in particular has hectares of land to explore. Great for a romantic weekend for couples. Ideal for families (2 adults, 2 children).

Bottletree cottage has been carefully decorated and has its own character to make you feel at home whilst enjoying a country escape. The cottage is fully self-contained with all amenities available, including all bed and bathroom linen. They are fully air-conditioned for your comfort, and feature two bedrooms: one with queen size bed and the other with twin singles.


Each cottage has parking adjacent to them for easy access and convenience.

Check-in from 2pm and check-out by 10am.

The property boasts an extensive collection of horse drawn implements for guests to view and learn about the bygone era of agriculture in Boonah.

Fab getaway weekend
Lyn and John made as so welcome to our farm cottage. The cottage was perfect for the three of us to spend time there without getting in each others way. The fully equipped kitchen allowed us to prepare scrumptious dinners each night and we really enjoyed the warmth and comfort of the slow combustion fire while playing cards. Big bathroom was a joy with room to move. The great atmosphere of the cottage and farm was tops - Ned the horse, the dogs, cows and chooks were a delight and just added to out overall fun experience. Thanks Lyn and John.

Peace and quiet

Our BEST farmstay ever in Australia
This was our BEST farm stay so far in Australia, special thanks to Lynn and John for making us feel free and home. Our stay was full of relaxing moments within cottage and around the farm, cattle and chucks feeding, watching horses running around the scenic beauty and endless picturesque views all around that kept us busy taking photos all the time. The Rose cottage was beautifully and tastefully decorated as the name suggests and located at a perfect location that you can see all the beautiful views from windows and balconies. Rama and I had a wonderful time talking to John and Lynn and our son Arush enjoyed feeding cattle and holding chucks in hand for the first time. He didn't want to come back home at all! The two night stay wasn't enough so we will definitely come back soon for a longer stay. Many of our friends in Australia and around the world wants to visit this place after seeing our photographs! Country Retreat for Photographers
What can I say??? Rose Cottage was perfect for our needs. We are three professional photographers having a two day retreat and it exceed our expectations. The two bedrooms were perfectly comfortable. The roll out bed was the same. Nothing was left out; comfort, convenience; atmosphere; perfect. Totally recommend for any kind of retreat.

Great Rural Retreat
Our stay at Milford cottages was a wonderfully welcoming and relaxing weekend with the children. Plenty of open space for the kids to run, play and explore, surrounded by beautiful scenery, close to Boonah. Great hosts who have set up the two lovely cottages. Would recommend as a great place to stay to spend time with friends and family. The hosts dogs were friendly and great for the kids to play with. A bonus being invited to toast marshmallows over the fire with the hosts was a nice touch

Warm and Welcoming!
We enjoyed a lovely weekend at Milford Cottages. John and Lyn were very accommodating and provided everything we needed, were friendly and offered bread when we ran out, cute dogs to play frisbee with, and a fun outdoor fire on Saturday night for marshmallows! Cottage well equipped and warm. Would definitely recommend.
