"Photos are accurate. A comfortable rustic house with a lovely garden and pool that provides a secluded peaceful haven for a relaxing time. Surrounded by orange and olive groves. Nice cantina in local village and other restaurants 20 min drive away. Key tourist sites in the east of the island are 1-2 hrs away. You will return home very rested. A warm welcome from Franco, the owner, and Francesca who is a very attentive guide for the visitor, always available on WhatsApp, and speaks great English....

"The property itself is very small but for two people it's perfect. Open plan with a little somewhat steep staircase up to the bedroom area. We like to be off the beaten track and this just right for us, the private courtyard (that includes the shower/washing machine) was a good size with multiple seating options available. The worst. I travelled 90% of countries.

"Was closed, owner showed up 30 min late, no check in instructions, was yelling on the phone right under our window till 10. No hot water, rooms are not as on pictures, error saying 4 people can stay in one bed in the listing, it wouldn’t be showing in search at all. No baby cribs, it’s just pictures. Fridge is not plugged in. No kettle or any warm water available and no one in the whole building. Mattress smells and has no protector. I only stayed because was late after 8 hours and it was closest. Next time will definitely read reviews as they all are true. Owner doesn’t care and is rude. He texted at 9 am “check out is at 10” that’s all. Didn’t bother nothing. I hope it gets shut down by health authorities. "

Il Giardino del Sole is a hidden gem

"We recently had the pleasure of staying at Il Giardino del Sole in Sicily, and I can’t recommend it enough! This hotel is truly amazing—the perfect blend of comfort and charm. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel right at home. They are exceptionally friendly and kind, always ready to help with a smile. It’s clear that they genuinely care about their guests’ experience. Now, let’s talk about the food! Every meal was magnificent and absolutely delicious. Incredible property

"Great ambience. Property was excellent and exceptionally clean. Rooms were impeccable with natural (no chemical smells) fragrances. Service was excellent at all times of the day and food was incredible. Pool was amazing to swim in however the only there were a lot of flies when using sunbathing recliners. Perhaps some fly traps would be useful to minimize this. "
