Miramare (officially Miramare di Rimini) is one of a string of picturesque coastal towns that make up Rimini’s Adriatic Riviera. With a long stretch of sand, calm waters and attractions on land and at sea, this is a popular summer resort for families. Go to one of the many amusement parks of Miramare, indulge in therapeutic spa treatments and enjoy the cool ambiance from waterfront restaurants.
Characteristic of Rimini’s beaches, bagnos (beach clubs) line the shoreline. Pay an entrance fee and use facilities such as changing rooms, sun loungers, umbrellas and restaurants. Have fun on the water with a rented Jet Ski, peddle boat or speed boat. Try your hand at fly-boarding, stand-up paddleboarding, wakeboarding and windsurfing, among other watersports.
Keep the children entertained at one of the floating water parks in the Adriatic Sea. Alternatively, Beach Village Water Park has sports courts, swimming pools, waterslides, bars and a creche. Find traditional fairground attractions set around a lake at FIabilandia. For more water-based fun, Aquafan and Oltremare are just a 10-minute drive away.
Order a meal and admire the views from the bars and restaurants that line the Lungomare Guido Spadazzi beachfront promenade. Varied dining and drinking options also spread along Viale Regina Margherita. Treat yourself to a day of spa therapies and massages at Rimini Terme.
Take advantage of the resort’s proximity to Rimini and explore the Rimini Historic Center. Resplendent palaces decorate atmospheric squares such as Piazza Cavour and Piazza Tre Martiri. Visit the Arch of Augustus and Tempio Malatestiano, which are just a few of the city’s ancient landmarks. Marina Centro combines beach vibes with beach life and is close to the La Ruota Panoramica observation wheel.
It’s possible to walk from central Miramare to Rimini’s Federico Fellini International Airport in under 20 minutes. If arriving from other resorts on the Adriatic Riviera then catch the train to Rimini Miramare station. Metered street parking is available for drivers, although spaces tend to fill up fast in summer.
