"The hotel was near the Itsukushima Shrine, just around 5-min walk. Although it's not near the ferry port, the hotel provided a shuttle service upon arrival and departure. "Staying at Kawaguchi was a wonderful experience. The innkeeper lady was very helpful in explaining everything and pointing us to good restaurants and giving general directions around the town. The room was surprisingly large with additional space for two in the loft. Tea and cookies provided in the room. Kimonos to wear around were a nice touch. We enjoyed the ofuro (onsen bath)."

"Nice traditional Japanese hotel, with super friendly and helpful staff. Located in the heart of town, a lot of nice small restaurants around, but not noisy at all inside the hotel. Area is well connected to tram and the main station. The Japanese breakfast (there is a choice between western and japanese breakfast) is great!"

"We loved staying here. It’s a beautiful apartment, very clean, with plenty of amenities. The host responds to queries quickly and is very kind. The apartment is just a stone’s throw from the ferry port and the beds were so comfortable! I’ll be staying here again next time I visit. My only small grumble is that though the apartment can sleep many people, there aren’t any large pans for cooking. But aside from that it was perfect."
