"Large space in Hakone and very reasonably priced. Good for large groups of fit, young people. Recommended parking is up a very steep hill and stairs to second floor are a little narrow and steep. The house was otherwise clean and comfortable."

"Ten-Yu was amazing. The property, staff, food, and town were all amazing. The hot spring water was invigorating and relaxing. The private onsen had a beautiful waterfall, the public garden was great. We didn’t try the bar, but did have dinner at the restaurant which was good, followed by a breakfast which had copious amounts of food for all tastes."

We stayed for 3 nights and were fortunate to see Mt Fuji for two days of our stay. The onsen in the room was amazing, we used it twice a day or more, so relaxing. It could fit two people, and we loved how the doors opened up to look at the view. We were on level 2 and if you can I would suggest trying to get a room level 3 or higher as we did have some maple trees which partially obstructed our view. It was still lovely but you would have a clear view of the lake and beyond from the floors above. It was easy walking across the road to 7-11, or to the couple of restaurants in the area. The complimentary drinks and snacks was a lovely touch. We appreciated the in-room washing machine, and the big projector tv was great. A very relaxing place to stay in the middle of our Japan trip."
