The track should be driven with care but after the first time accompanied by John, it's not too bad. I wouldn't bring a car with low clearance though. The place and its surroundings allowed us a restful and pleasant respite from our busier daytrips. "We were a family group of 15 ranging in age from 20 to 92. We used the pool every day. Laughed at the clothes dryer because they have the same kind in Portugal where we vacationed. Many people walked into Camucia and enjoyed the restaurants grocery stores etc. Several of us have been to Italy before my first time in Assisi but we shared experiences with them. Staff was prompt to arespond to any problems. And a week of perfect weather makes it all the better"

The house name is not a location on a map and if you use an app like Google then you must use the name on the wall outside the property. The hot water takes a very long time to get to the upper floor shower and it’s almost impossible to fill a hot bath. That’s to be expected in a house of this age and it’s well...

This was unexpected as we thought there would be a central indoor staircase. We made it work but we did feel separate from each other. While it says there are a few things in walking distance we felt the car was necessary....

"We had a brilliant stay with communication leading up to the holiday being excellent. Azzurra is such a lovely woman, very helpful and provided a beautiful house for us to stay in with everything you would ever need. Hairdryer, washing machine, dryer, iron & board, everything. Even the coffee capsules for the machine were all included. The house is brilliant, with a large master bedroom, smaller second room and double sofa bed downstairs. The garden area is stunning. 1000sq mts set over 3 tires....

"The property was exactly as listed - beautiful scenery and far away from neighbours so that you feel comfortable in your own bubble. Due to heavy storms we had a couple of issues with cloudy water and power going out, but the only thing outside of the hosts abilities was changing the weather! Whenever the power went Chiara and Davide came to our aid instantly and were nothing short of understanding and amazing every time. Cannot recommend this villa and host enough. 15/10."

"Check in was easy. Staff very helpful. Room was large and very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Elevator was very helpful especially for getting to breakfast on the 4th floor. Breakfast room had glass all around providing a great view of the valley. Food was substantial. Even had pancakes. Adding eggs would be nice for visitors. Person working the breakfast room was very nice and made us fresh coffee and cappuccino each morning. Highly recommend this hotel. It is very close to the center of Cortona, easy walking to the many wonderful Cortona restaurants, stores and wine shop. The lobby was beautifully decorated for the holidays. "

"First off, Cortona is BEAUTIFUL AND AMAZING! Such an amazing old walled city to walk, photograph and enjoy! Second, this property is one of the most beautiful and ancient places I’ve ever stayed! The halls and rooms were stunning. Old stone and iron everywhere. We stayed in the top room with the terrace. Oh man, I just can’t tell you how beautiful and fun this stay was. We sat on the terrace and watched the meteor shower while I did night photography! This property is stunning. The parking down the hill was free! Just pull into the parking lot, park, then call the desk to get you a taxi up to the hotel! Unless you’re fit and can climb a hill with suitcases get a quick 2 minute taxi up there! Trust me, it’s a walled city and the walk up and down is a thing! It’s only 150 yards or so but damn, it’s an ancient cobble stone hill! Get the ride! Bring comfy shoes because you’re gonna walk the whole town! "

Fairytale Getaway in Arezzo!

"Where to begin? For starters this property is even more beautiful in person than in the incredible photos shown here. It is very clean. The kitchen is fully equipped. Many people had left helpful cooking ingredients. The location is perfect. We were right across the street from a multi-generational, family owned & operated pastry/coffee shop. The women who run it are lovely, and the food/coffee was so yummy we went there every day of our weeklong stay. We easily walked to delicious restaurants, a park with an incredible view, the Piazza Grande, and tons of great shops! (If you are shopping for leather goods, La Bottega del Cuoio should not be missed!) We cannot say enough good things about Stefano, the guest house’s host. Not only did he drive us to and from the train station, but he also took us grocery shopping. Stefano is kind, fun and very helpful. He even offers very reasonably priced guided day trips and can teach you how to cook as an Italian. He is a host with many talents! We highly recommend Stefano’s beautiful guest house! So much so, we will come back and rent it again!"
