"Petite chambre mais suffisante pour le temps qu'on y passe et pour ce prix. Bémol, la chambre n'est pas refaite pendant le séjour, poubelle non vidé, serviettes non changées. Le matelas est de bonne qualité mais pour les oreillers c’est l’inverse. Si vous avez problèmes de cervicales, venez avec le votre ! La VMC n’était pas fonctionnelle donc humidité dans la chambre."

"A total mistake on my part making a booking at this hotel. It's inadequate in every way possible, no proper en suite, awful towels, etc. etc. I do not understand how a family could cope in these so called family rooms. Unfortunately I did not realise it is trying to be a theme type experience, rather than being a 'proper" hotel. We arrived at 5 pm and there was no parking available. The reception, corridor flooring etc. is as scruffy as you can get. I hope this helps to dissuade you from booking this hotel. "

"The room was warm unfortunately there was no hot water. Being January the restaurant was closed so even for a warm drink and food we had to go out in below freezing temperatures. The bed was very clean. No food or drink allowed in the rooms. "

"Had a great stopover. Comfortable, friendly, wonderful Breakfast. Best hotel I've stay at recently. Near to the motorway junction for easy access. 24 hour reception "

"The room had absolutely no heating. The temperature was -1c. It would be impossible to sleep in a room at this temperature. We were offered another room. This also had no heating. Eventually reception averred us a portable room heater. Also, we plugged our car in to the electric charger at 11pm for an overnight charge. We were charged 130 euros - the most expensive charge we have ever had. they charge for time (not electricity). Are you expected to get up in the middle of the night to unplug your car? Also, there was no indication of the cost or conditions at the charger. It was only when the cost came through on our credit card. The hotel is rated as 3 star. I do not think it deserves 1 star. Avoid this hotel if at all possible."

"Hotel is really quaint and done within several very old buildings - as best as possible. Decent accommodations, with the givens of walking up and down numerous stairs, dark hallways, etc. Personnel there ranges from: exceptionally sweet young woman - who carried our heavy suitcases up two steep stairs (no elevator) - to a very unfriendly male. Requests like - making a call on our behalf to a beauty salon - were met with dismay (by the male). The breakfast area could be easily mistaken for a US Best Western hotel. Impersonal. Food as well. The only thing - that was really cool - was the giant mural with the Rabelais character - Gargantua (the gourmand). All in all it is an OK place with strategic location within the downtown."
