"Lovely hotel, very comfortable beds, great service and staff. Breakfast was great also. Great for visiting Messina, close to all attractions including the Duomo. Great theatre across from hotel with free concert and lovely restaurant up the side street next to the theatre. Great view from room, we were able to watch the arrival and departure of many ships including cruise ships and the boat trains."

"Fabulous, converted villa with beautiful grounds and ocean views. Breakfast was served in a magnificent dining room but the choices were somewhat limited and not always communicated consistently."

"A great place to escape from the hustle bustle lifestyle. Tranquil peaceful setting is our first impression, followed by the friendliness of the staff. Room we had was one of the worst with no view and right next to a construction site. But this did not stop us from enjoying the well kept grounds and the infinity pool overlooking the Aeolian islands. Breakfast is adequate with plenty of savory and sweet choices. But dinner menu was limited with very few local fares. Gym is dark and outdated. Almost like an afterthought. There are signs of construction throughout the property and hopefully that means some pleasant surprises in the near future. "

"Excellent location next to the National Museum, RC Lido train station, Gelato Cesare, and the promenade. Only about 10 minute walk to the ferry port. Hotel had an excellent breakfast with many choices (muesli, fruit, yogurt, boiled eggs, ham and cheese, pastries, and even granita with brioche, among other options. They also had an excellent dinner menu. Rooms were clean and comfortable (AC helpful). I would stay here again."

"This was quite a find! Lovely hotel, extremely well-kept and beautifully decorated. Front desk staff were very helpful. Room was quiet, despite being on the ground floor facing the road. Though it's a little outside of town centre, it was a quick and easy walk (took us less than 20 minutes walk to get to the port, would be a quick bus or taxi ride) and I appreciated the quiet area. I could write pages about the breakfast - it was fantastic. All fresh and tasty, with four areas of separate options. We vegetarians were spoilt for choice (and there were many meaty options as well). It was lovely to be able to make myself a blood orange mimosa to go along with my coffee each morning! I highly recommend Milazzo for a quiet holiday and I even more highly recommend Il Principe. I would absolutely stay here again!"

"Without question the best resort spa in Villa San Giovanni . This is where my dad is from ,so I’ve come to Villa quite a bit . My favorite ! Great live music and Dj by the pool , amazing views of Sicily across the sea . Restaurant rivals any Michelin restaurant that I’ve been to . "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our perfect stay at Domus Nova! The owner Giuseppe was a fantastic host making us feel welcome as if we were visiting relatives! He graciously carried our luggage up the small flight of stairs and upgraded us to a balcony suite making our stay even more pleasant with a beautiful view of the Strait of Messina/Sicily. Giuseppe was extremely knowledgeable, offered several recommendations to visit around the local area including several attractions in nearby cities and took the time to greet us and check in daily. Every morning the lovely Fryline served us espresso/cappuccino and offered a nice selection of pastries, meat and cheese and the friendly staff thoroughly cleaned our room every morning. The room was clean and spacious with a smart tv, AC, and all the amenities-our rainfall shower was very hot with good water pressure and the bed was very comfortable. The rooms are centrally located in the heart of Reggio behind Corso Garibaldi just minutes from the Centrale train station. Steps from the resort is excellent shopping historical monuments and amazing restaurants. A couple of blocks from the resort is Lungomare, several lovely beaches and restaurants on the water. Out of all the hotels and B&B we stayed at throughout Italy and USA over the years, Domus Nova was more like staying with family (that you actually like!) we can’t wait to return here again!"
