The setting was wonderful - overlooking a typical Burgundian valley with pastures of Charolais cows, forests and local vineyards. Our hostess, Anna was charming, fun and full of ideas for things to do and places to visit in the area. Some of her suggestions were wine tastings locally and in Beaune, (we discovered a Marsannay Rosé, exquisite), Châteaux visits, antique hunting at "vide greniers" and the "incontrournable" Saturday morning market and Café Parisienne in Saulieu. The glass of chilled white wine at 11 o’clock on the terrace and the after-market hustle and bustle created that unique French atmosphere unbeatable anywhere in the world.
The accommodation is bright, clean, cheerful and recently decorated. We had breakfast and dinner on the terrace almost every day. It was early in the season and the under floor heating was divine. Everything was as advertised. I do recommend Anna’s Studio to all.
