We had a road-trip type journey planned that covered the majority of Europe, including France, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Luxembourg.
Between the stops at Venice and Rome, we decided to have a midway rest in tuscany. Choosing the Buon Riposo venue as at the time we were not concerned with the place.
Little did we know that it would turn out to be one of the best places we ever stayed!
We turned up to the compound, found our villa "Margherita House" and proceeded to unpack.
The villa itself was a fabulous place, supplied with everything needed for a good stay. Kitchen, Bathroom, VERY comfortable beds, and all situated in a quiet vineyard that could not have been more peaceful.
We also visited the local village of Corazzano to pop into the green grocers, and pick up some supplies, and met a couple of the locals. Alfonso Nicollo (?) showed us his audition video for a talent show that he wanted us to vote for.
That night we had a fantastic plate of Pasta, Olives and Parmesan cheese, all sourced locally from the area, coupled with some bread that the shopkeeper had kindly given us.
This place would be an ideal base to explore the surrounding areas of Tuscany, offering a fantastic place to stay, with a pool and the perfect relaxation venue.
even though we happened to come across it by accident, we would have loved to stay for longer to fully enjoy it but, unfortunately, we had to crack on the next day as we had Rome to visit then.
