"Great modern clean hotel with great room service and dining option. I choose this hotel because I had a rental car and most of the options especially near the Old Town had little to no parking. I was easily able to find unpaid parking at the hotel. It also was a 10m drive to Old Town with some low cost parking garages nearby the historical points of interest. "Excellent location for viewing Mérida's outstanding Roman ruins. Lovely breakfast staff. Front desk could do a bit better on communication. They told us they were reserving breakfast for us at 11am but the was actually the time they closed. We even confirmed the time before leaving the front desk. Also they could not seem to understand I had reserved TWO rooms one for TWO people and the other for ONE person. Admittedly our Spanish isn't perfect but we do live in Spain and understand more than we can speak. Overall I'd say stay here if you have never been to a parador because it's a beautiful historic property in good proximity to the ruins and town center. "
