"The town of Murat was better than expected. Small cobblestones streets, old, charming houses. Many shops, cafes, restaurants. The nature around town is perfect for hikers and mountain bikers. Murat is also on the Circuit des Monts du Cantal The apartment was big enough for 4 people. Appliances are not recent but functional Overall clean but a coat of fresh paint wouldn’t hurt."

"bonjour, Superbe séjour dans un écrin de verdure de bois de ballades en forêt. Les hôtes sont très gentils. Leur habitation est proche mais ils sont discrets. Je cherchais un lieu silencieux en pleine nature et je l’ai trouvé. Tout ce qu’il fallait comme linge, ustensile de cuisine se trouvent sur place. La propreté est exemplaire. "Un gîte idéalement situé loin du bruit et de la population. Le tintement des cloches des vaches, le bruissement de la rivière, c'est un endroit très reposant. Je conseille pour les amoureux de la nature. C'est une très belle région !"

"We had a warm and friendly welcome, helped by our ability to speak French (Paul and Genevieve admit that they have very little English!). Be prepared with provisions and fuel when you arrive as the nearest shops are some distance away and likely to be closed at inconvenient times (for the English at least!). The only road into the village (3 houses!) is long and very narrow, testing the driver's manoeuvring skills in the unlikely event of on-coming traffic. We arrived at the start of Autumn with...

"This is an amazing find such lovely family owners took great care of us - the rooms perfect and clean. The home cooked food was amazing and service impeccable. Safe parking and so close to the Puy Mary volcano mountain area. Will stay again!"

"Hotel, excellent. Nice folks, glorious thunderstorm, and Vidal is interesting. Only caution is, be aware that on a Sunday evening, bring your own dinner. One pizzaria is open, and stick to the front desk’s posted list of resto recommends. Only. Trust me on this. That said, I will be back at G-T. Also, good breakfast. "
