Welcome to River Haven, a place to relax, refresh and recharge in a beautiful and quiet setting on the Russian River.

River Haven is a spacious modern home offering 3 bedrooms with King beds, 2 full bathrooms, a “Birds Nest” loft and bunkbed for kids, a game room, a home movie theater, a deck, and access to a beloved neighborhood beach on one of the most scenic and natural parts of the Russian River.

There is so much to say about this riverfront home in the adorable and quiet hamlet of Villa Grande.

The stylish great room is warm and inviting with high ceilings, skylights, wool carpets, new modern furnishings, a charming corner fireplace, a largeTV and stunning views of the river. A central heating system keeps the house cozy and comfortable year-round, so you can enjoy all four seasons. Although you're just a few minutes drive, you'll feel far away from the hustle-bustle of town. In spring and early summer watch the resident swallows take care of their young in our “swallow condo” out back, and give you a show as they dive and swoop for insects over the garden and the river at sunset. You can watch ducks swim by and kayakers' paddle lazily down the river from the comfort of your sofa or the private deck, or head out back to the beautiful wildflower garden that borders the river's edge. In winter, sit by the fireplace and gaze out the giant picture windows at the lush greenery of the backyard, the towering redwoods and the river rippling by.

The chef’s kitchen offers a gas stove, convection oven, whisper-quiet dishwasher, waffle-maker, crockpot and other high quality tools of the trade for the chef in your crowd to create memorable meals. Pull-up a stool to the breakfast bar and hang out with the cook. Listen to your favorite tunes or check out our cookbook collection for meal ideas. Then gather around the big farmhouse dining table surrounded by picture windows with river views over a fabulous meal and great conversations. That is what River Haven is all about, spending quality time with the people you love and creating memories you’ll treasure, in one of the most beautiful settings in the world.

French doors lead from the great room onto the Deck, a scenic open area where you can watch the stars or hang out with your friends and family overlooking the river, the beautiful gardens, and wildlife habitat on the property. A glass-screened area with an awning makes sure there’s a protected hangout area in any weather. The Deck area has a convenient propane grill for your use, comfy seating, and hanging café lights to create a delightful ambiance.

Each of the three downstairs bedrooms contain new king-size beds and furnishings, with pillow-top mattresses and plush European bedding. Listen to crickets and frogs as you drift off to sleep. The master suite features views of grandaddy redwoods, and a private fenced front yard. The second bedroom is spacious with a huge walk-in closet, and soothing forest views. The third bedroom brings furniture with a modern touch and cozy ambiance. All bedrooms are adjacent to full baths with showers. One bathroom is an inspired creation with an antique clawfoot tub and custom tilework.

Prepare to be amazed when you climb the staircase and enter an open and airy space: high ceilings, skylights, barnwood flooring and river views grace a giant artist's loft. A fireplace sends warmth into the room, and full-wall mirrors (along with a basket of yoga mats) make a perfect spot for your own yoga retreat. An indoor tent, plus ping-pong and foosball tables promise hours of distraction for the kids. A unique loft awaits up the small set of stairs to the “Bird's Nest” –– a bunkbed for kids in an enclosed, carpeted nook that is sure to find a place in young imaginations as a playhouse, a treehouse or a pirate ship.

If this wasn’t enough, you can all head upstairs in the evening, kick back in the loungey sofas and beanbag chairs to turn on your own movie screen. A family theater awaits, with movies at the touch of a remote. Free wi-fi with booking.

When it's time for a swim or a float, stroll to the beautiful neighborhood beach with a swimming hole that is one of the best-kept secrets on the river. It's a five-minute walk, and a treasure for all who come here. When you return from a day of floating on the river or basking in the sun, you can wash off in our own private outdoor shower (with warm water) before you settle in for the night. A grocery store, movie theater and large Monte Rio Beach are just minutes away, and there's even a Skate Park with coffee shop five minutes down the road. The towns of Duncans Mills, Jenner, Monte Rio, Guerneville, Camp Meeker and Occidental are each a few minutes drive if you want to explore restaurants, wine tastings, bakeries and boutique shops, but once you’re settled into River Haven with its front row seat to the river, you may not want to go anywhere else!

Sleeps 3-6 adults in three king size beds, each in its own room; bunk beds for 2 kids. Third child allowed under age of 3. Ages of all guests in party required before booking will be accepted.
