We visited for 4 days, 3 night and had an enjoyable stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The Jamaican breakfast was delicious! We also ordered dinner one evening and it was wonderful as well. The food was flavorful and we can tell fresh ingredients were used. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. The room has a fan and an ac unit so the temperature is always comfortable. Its a very quiet environment. I wish I could have dipped in the pool but it kept raining on and off while we were there. Some minor things to make note of - the roads leading to the hotel are pretty bad so take caution when driving. The shower drain in the bathroom was pretty clogged the first couple nights we were there, but when we informed them of the issue, housekeeping and maintenance quickly fixed it. The cable on the TV didn’t work, but the tv has access to streaming apps which we watched instead. The beds are also on the harder side. We met one of the owners during our stay, and she is a very lovely lady!!! If you’re looking for a lowkey, homey, bed and breakfast with delicious food, this is the perfect stay!! It’s also a great opportunity to support a black business!!

It was reasonably priced, had a clean pool, and clean surroundings. It is about 6 minutes from popular eating spots and beaches. I had only one dislike which was the jet tub. When the jet was turned on, alot of black sediments came out, seems it is needs cleaning.

The hotel staff are very friendly and pleasant. The grounds are beautiful. The room is comfortable and spacious with a furnished veranda. The bathroom is large and supplied with toiletries and a sewing kit. I had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The chefs prepared vegetarian meals for me each day of my 5-night stay. I had a wonderful experience and will definitely return.

The Property when it appeared on the booking site, resembled a little fairytale castle with its unique setting, size, and color. I was only convinced that the place was real from the pictures I saw as I looked through them all on the site and scanned through the reviews. When I arrived there, I indeed saw that it was real and just as the pictures showed... Charming, cozy, clean, picturesque in a well maintained, manicured, and breathtaking setting. The food is most excellently prepared, hearty, substantial, refine and delicious all at once... The staff is courteous, friendly and responsive to your every need... My only suggestion, is that Villa Sonate screens off the area where breakfast is served on the dining room porch and the door leading to the pool area to keep the little flying critters out - when you are dining...But even with that it's just such a perfect fairytale place to stay!!! Villa Sonate is a little jewel in Runaway Bay...
