Ocean & Sunset view retreat with hot tub

This beautiful modern home sits on one acre of land, facing the Pacific Ocean and has beautiful water and sunset views. The main floor has a high open beam ceiling, dining and living room, white oak wood floor, big gourmet kitchen with granite counter tops and commerical gas cook top and double oven, half bath, open floor plan, large deck with ocean and sunset views and big table and new BBQ.
The master bedroom has a new king bed and an electric fireplace, the second bedroom has one queen and one single bed and there is a double bed in TV room.
There is a separate outdoor spa area with privacy, ocean and sunset view, large hot tub and enclosed outdoor shower with on demand hot water.

The house is in a quiet location where you can hear the waves and the sea lions. There is great walking and hiking in Big Sur and directly from the house; shopping and dining in Carmel,only 10 minutes away. Whale watching along the coast or take tour from Monterey Harbor.
The world famous Monterey Aquarium is 20 minutes, Monterey airport 15 minutes, San Jose airport 1 1/2 hours and San Francisco 2 hours.
Hearst Castle is 2 hours south; Highlands Inn Hotel with oceanview restaurant is 2 minutes away.

Great location, ideal for a romantic getaway, fun to share with another couple or for a small family, or small family gathering or for local events.

Wonderful vacation
This place was amazing!! Beautiful spot, close to town, and the house had everything you could imagine. We spent a week here. Peaceful, quiet and some amazing sunsets with gorgeous views. Would highly recommend to everyone who wants a awesome getaway!!

Wonderful Carmel Oasis
My family and I stayed here to celebrate a birthday and it was a wonderful experience. The house is well appointed - everything you could possibly need and more to cook, relax and make memories. The hot tub was great and the views from the deck at amazing. We’ll definitely be back.

Lovely home with a great view of the ocean!
This home was super clean and very well appointed with everything you could want or need during your stay. The decor was tasteful, the beds were comfortable and had nice featherbeds. The hot tub with robes provided and wood fireplace were nice on those chilly nights. The kitchen was a dream to cook and prepare family meals in. We enjoyed the abundant light throughout the upstairs and the view of the ocean. The living room was comfortable to read by the fire or play games with family. Overall, it was an enjoyable vacation home and we would definitely stay again!

Incredible!!!
The home is like a designer showcase! Beautiful art, lovely plants and nice comfortable furnishings, both inside and out. The deck is wonderful with the view of the ocean. The kitchen has state of the art appliances and filled with everything you need. We also loved the location of being close to Carmel, Monterrey and a nice drive to Big Sur!

We stayed at the property for 3 nights. The house was clean . It has a very beautiful ocean view, and is located in a quiet and relaxing neighborhood. Perfect View, Location, and Relaxation
This is the perfect place for those looking for amazing views and relaxation. The home was spotless and the online pictures are spot on. You will not want to leave the house, opting to spend your time out on the back deck drinking your coffee and eating meals... not to mention spending time in the separate private deck that has a hot tub and an outside shower. Bonus for birdwatchers - there are hummers, woodpeckers and stellar jays everywhere. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Quiet. Beautiful. Perfect
Beautiful modern home with stunning views of the Ocean hidden in the Carmel Hills. Our host Karin was waiting for us on arrival and gave us a tour of her beautiful home, she catered for our every need. The house is large, beautiful and peaceful, and the hot tub is a fantastic addition at the end of the garden. Also need to mention the beautiful ocean views from the balcony! Location is convenient and 10 mins from shops and Carmel beach.

Awesome Property
We really enjoyed the main floor with the wonderful ocean view. Loved the wood paneled vaulted ceilings and all the windows and sky lights that let the light pour in. Enchanting. Beautiful artwork and decor as well with live plants and orchids. Weather during our stay did not allow for using the nice outside space on the deck. We didn't cook any meals, but the kitchen was well equipped. Bathroom supplies were abundant. We were surprised the bedrooms and main bath were all downstairs from the main level. The bedrooms were basic but comfortable.

Above and beyond!
That is how I would describe our stay. This home has every single detail that you could possibility imagine and more, much more. The kitchen had every single utensil, plate, baking dish, etc. so if you enjoy cooking this kitchen has everything you would need. The location is excellent, the view is spectacular. The private hot tub area is incredible, perfect for overlooking the ocean and star watching at night. We didn’t want to leave. The attention to detail was extremely impressive.

Lovely place for a cool getaway
My husband and I enjoyed our stay, we stayed for a week. House was exactly has described. Has a lovely view of the ocean and the property was pretty with so many plants and flowers. The house was clean, comfortable and a close drive to downtown Carmel and Monterey. There’s also a shopping center near by which was convenient. The drive up to the house is a little windy but didn’t take long to navigate our way there. Definitely use Karin’s directions. The neighborhood was quiet. Was nice sitting outside in the spa area too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Just be sure you carefully read the description of the property and amenities to make sure it’s right fit for you.

Great View/Some Quirks
This is a lovely upstairs living area with a great view. Well equipped kitchen, the stove is a little wonky but didn’t stop us from preparing meals. All bedrooms are downstairs with one full bath so juggling was done. There is a half bath on the main area but you need to go outdoors to use the other shower, not on the home or attached to the home. One person did brave the outdoors and loved it! We would probably look for a one level home for our next trip although we loved the view. Parking here is very tight, shared driveway with owner..

Incredibly beautiful and relaxing!
My wife and I have stayed at vrbo listings for many years, and this by far has been our best vacation. We were looking for a place with a view of the ocean, and we got that and so much more. We spent a lot of time on the deck eating dinner, reading books, and admiring the ocean sunsets. A beautiful hummingbird visited me daily to get the red flowers about a foot away from my lounge chair. I took a hot shower first thing in the morning on the private hot tub enclosure and then sat in the the hot tub to begin my day. We went on some great hikes in Point Lobos, Partington Cove, Andrew Molera, and the beach at Gerratapa and Carmel. We even used the complementary tickets provided to go the the Monterey Aquarium, really special. Lots of wood is provided and we had several warm fires as Carmel gets a bit chilled at night. As others have said, everything is provided you can imagine. Carmel about 10 minutes away had some great restaurants too. My wife and I wanted a chance to get away and connect and this sure fits the bill. We highly recommend this getaway!

Peaceful hideaway
We celebrated Thanksgiving here and found the kitchen a perfect place for cooking with every needed utensil. The views of the oceans from the large windows and from the decks truly made the experience extra special. I appreciated the separation of living spaces. There is a table in the kitchen that was perfect for playing cards and doing puzzles, while the dining room overlooking the backyard offered another large table. The beds were located downstairs and this was nice for people who get up and go to bed at different times. The bedding was comfortable with different types of pillows and plenty of towels. Everything was very clean. I appreciated having a laundry room as well. My favorite times here were the mornings. The deck for the hot tub is located down a short pathway from the house and has lounge chairs. Sitting on that deck made me feel like I was in a treehouse because all I could see were the ocean and tree tops. Very peaceful place to enjoy a cup of tea. There is another deck right off the side of the house and we enjoyed meals and snacks there often while watching the sky change colors over the ocean. The ocean is a short drive away- the nearest beach is probably about a mile away, but our favorite beach was in Carmel about 4 miles away. This is a nice place to stay if you want to get away from the hustle and relax for a while.
