The renovated barn has been lovingly and tastefully transformed into a beautiful Tuscan villa—the perfect base for our family’s first visit to the area. The space is truly unique in all the ways it has incorporated modern design and amenities while preserving the rustic charm of the structure. The rooms and furnishings are comfortable, and the kitchen is a great place to prepare a meal with fresh local ingredients.
The location was ideal for our itinerary, as we could easily visit Siena and San Gimignano on day trips, then return to enjoy the heated pool and spacious outdoor seating areas.
The grounds were filled with blooming plants, and the olive grove was nice to explore. The only noises we heard were bird songs and the sounds of the working farms all around. The peace and quiet were restorative after the hustle and bustle of Italian cities.
The property manager, Mido, is so kind and helpful. On the day of our arrival we took a wrong turn, and he was willing to drive the few miles out of the way to find us and lead us to the villa. He stayed in touch throughout, answering my questions promptly and coordinating maintenance projects to lessen their impact on our stay. He also provided good suggestions for two activities on our itinerary: a truffle hunt and an olive oil tour/tasting. Both were highlights of the trip.
If you are looking for a place in Tuscany that is notable for both its setting and its design features, you will find both in this wonderful villa.
