Our stay was great, but other, more discriminate travellers might not agree.
PROS:
Beautiful setting...the mountains and finger of the lake we're lush and framed in low clouds and mist every morning. Like tropical Hawaii!
Outdoor entraining area...very nice setup and we'll equipped to cook for a gathering. Loved it!
Air conditioners worked great!
Pool was good, hot tub worked about 50%.
Location was good.
CONS:
Most everything is worn out. The pictures are either outdated or do a good job of hiding this. Many barstools about to fail, nice little patio swing has the seat blown out, air hockey table is shot, hot tub only got full and hot once, with help from onsite staff. The rest of the time it was low and cold or like warm. Downstairs shower had just a trickle of water, and needs about 15 minutes to get warm. Downstairs bed mattress is thin and extremely hard. Roof leaked severely into living room during rain storm.
SUMMARY:
Villa was overpriced for the quality that exists...in my opinion. Not sure what else is available or what they go for. Maybe it was priced correctly, but our stays in villas elsewhere had much better quality for the cost. Maybe it's the location? Anyway, we had a WONDERFUL time here, and again just wanted to provide realistic expectations for anyone considering staying. The place just needs some upkeep and a few updates in furnishings. We'd stay again, but I'd definitely try to haggle on the price!
