"2 Grand parents 3 grand children We took the appartment for 12 !! # brilliant - bike rides ,tennis,walking, Sunset Beach Restaurant a short drive lovely staff even better food at extremely reasonable prices The only problem was the outdoor pool ( open until 30 Sept) was closed And rthe uindoor pool- open all year round was also closed A big disappointment for the kids -a bit less so for me !!"

"After a long drive from the UK to Courchevel Village our first impressions were a little underwhelming. What we were all actually experiencing was tiredness. We were a group of 10 people ages ranging from teens to adults from close and extended family members. The decisions as to who was going to sleep in what bed and also with whom took some careful considerations but fortunately as a group we all get on very well in each others company! We did have concerns that 10 people and only two...

"The chalet was perfect for a big group of 11 men (and room for more!), 5 minute walk from La Roche ski lift. There is a bar and ski hire at the bottom of the lift, although no shop, so we drove up to Plagne centre each morning. Communication with Audrey is exceptional, she is extremely attentive and answers your queries quickly. The living room is great for communal dining and evening entertainment (we played lots of cards). The Olympic bobsleigh is a short walk up the hill."

"We had a wonderful time in this cosy, rustic chalet with impeccable views. It was great for two families and had everything we needed. Only things to watch out for are head heights - there are lots of low level ceilings and so not great for very tall people and lots of steep steps so not brilliant if you have any mobility issues at all. However for a stay very near to the Croix Fry lifts, easy ski hire, slopes, cross country ski and delightful walks it was perfect."

"We had a great week. The chalet is really close to the lifts which take you up to the La plagne ski area but you can also really easily cross to Les arcs. Montchavin is low so I don’t think the nursery slope in front of the chalet is often open but when it is you could ski almost to the door! Village is small but has a few restaurants (including the one run by the host - La bovate- which had delicious food!), small supermarket, bakery and ski hire places - everything you need unless you need...

The views from the apartment are good and Les Varcins is a pretty place to stay with a few traditional chalet style buildings. Shops and restaurants etc are in St Martin. "We had a wonderful time in Chalet L’orbeye. We are a family of five with 3 teenagers so plenty of space. A week in August was not long enough! The views from the property are spectacular and we were able to hike & bike directly from the chalet. We regularly played paddle in St Bon and went to both Bozel and Le Praz lakes. We road cycled and hired bikes from Le Praz for mountain biking. We also managed a long walk from the Vanoise National Park. We were blessed with hot weather all week...

We also walked 5 min to the escalators up to 1650 to eat. This was really nice not to use the car. All employees were great, but especially Ali for valet parking and Claire at reception helped us very much. My only small complaint is that I am very sensitive to scents and get headaches and the hotel makes liberal use of fragrances. I wish...

A good introduction to Courchevel Village 1550

"After a long drive from the UK to Courchevel Village our first impressions were a little underwhelming. What we were all actually experiencing was tiredness. We were a group of 10 people ages ranging from teens to adults from close and extended family members. The decisions as to who was going to sleep in what bed and also with whom took some careful considerations but fortunately as a group we all get on very well in each others company! We did have concerns that 10 people and only two bathrooms would be a bit of an issue but it actually worked logistical rather well. The apartment is in a good central location of Courchevel Village, being only a 10 minutes walk up a easily manageable hill and some steps to the Village centre (just across from the Touvets Chair Lift). We hired Ski Lockers at the ESF Ski School in the village so we didn't have to walk up and down from the apartment in Ski Boots and with our Ski's & Snowboards. Parking at the apartment was fine. We had three vehicles in our group so we parked two cars in the apartments own double length garage and our Land Rover was parked in the parking area just across from the garage. If you are a group of close family and/or friends that are looking for a cosy affordable place to stay in a good location as a base to explore Courchevel and the rest of the Les 3 Vallees ski resorts then this is a good place to start."
