"Used this hotel as an overnight stop both on our journey down to the south of France and also on our return. Situated close to the railway station, the town centre and the old medieval town which is worth a stroll round. On our arrival on the journey down shortly before dusk the receptionist gave us directions to places to eat, most were closed so ended up at McDonalds!"

"Well presented room, in a quirky building that was slightly difficult to find as the name board has fallen down at some time and not been put back up. Would consider using again, but might look for options slight closer to the centre of Montlucon. We were only staying for one night on our way south through France. "We arrived late and harrassed at this hotel, squeezing the car into the last parking bay. It was hard to find and we had driven round Montlucon several times. We needed just what we got. A fantastic French bedroom with a crown over the bed. Lovely shower room with everthing we needed. Separate loo. We then went down to a typical top class restaurant and enjoyed a delightful dinner. Everything we needed to soothe us and make us upbeat once more. Expensive but it deserved to be."
