"The location is excellent. It is in walking distance of chinatown, old montreal, mcgill, notre dame. The neighboring area may be a little sketchy but i did not feel unsafe at any time. I brought my own room freshening spray and it helped with the stale smell. The free breakfast had plenty of options, eggs, bread, bagels, yogurt, oatmeal, coffee/tea/juice, hashbrown, fruit, waffles. The staff were very helpful. Would stay here again. "
"The first impression of this hotel was that of simple, understated class. This is a comfortable, elegant, and accommodating place without trying to portray some sort of unrealistic fantasy of grandeur. Service was friendly with a sincere kindness that is often missed in the world of cultivated service-industry niceties. The room was comfortable with a warm ambience - not a hint of sterility.
I will certainly stay here again. The proximity to excellent dining options was an unanticipated bonus. I recommend this place to anyone looking for comfort and class without the gaudy forced enthusiasm of other hotels serving the “modern urban”category. "
