Dishonesty

We stayed there for 17 and 18 May.. when we booked the property it was dit has air conditioning.. but when we reached there there was no air conditioning.. it was so hot there were. no fans only one ceiling fans which was attached to the lights..which goes off when you turn off the lights. After sending so many messages to the owner..he wrote that there is no air conditioner.when I wrote that I will complain he said that he doesn't know anything his brother knows. and when we said that we will leave then he said he will arrange something. We went out for dinner I don't know who came they set up a window air conditioner which we saw in the store room when we checked in... They put that air conditioner away.. we had stay to spend more than two hours in that suffocated hous. We were there for vacation not to do this.on top of that there was no net on the door or on the windows so that we could leave the doors or windows open because of the mosquito and the ants. the owner let us know there will be ants so he left some product but on the first night our daughters saw a big centipede in the basement so they didn't go to sleep on their bedroom we had to share our two bedrooms with five people(we were 2 families) .. only our husbands slept on the basement bedrooms. The towels and the blankets were damped stinky.. smelly. The mattress on the bed very uncomfortable. The list can go on..Vrbo should check the property before they enlist it. Our stay was a total disappointment.

We would not recommend this location to anyone. Do not be tempted by the price. I will start by saying that the owner did recently renovate the property, but that the renovation needs a lot more work. We actually left after one night as we did not judge the place safe for us without extensive work, and because we didn't wait to discuss it with the owner, we were denied an opportunity for a partial refund. That's ok, as we judged the loss of money preferable to staying. 1. Safety Issues: Several electrical outlets and fixtures were broken or not working correctly. One GFCI had buttons ripped out and wires were not well restrained. Lights were only partially operational.2. We found centipedes in the rooms. Something bit two of us in separate beds. Vrbo wanted a picture, but we couldn't. 3. The lights are on motion sensors that turned off very quickly, sometimes leaving us in the dark when on the stairs or in the downstairs common area. Not as advertised: This place is not air conditioned. One window unit is in place, but it isn't rated for the size of the area and doesn't cool any bedrooms. The cleaning focused on toilets and floors, but not the kitchen or utility room. Toiletries, beers, and other stuff from the last renters was left behind. There were feminine product wrappers left on a shelf.Parking is difficult and the street is under construction. Other issues:Bedding is uncomfortable and slick, towels are old, DIY renovation needs to be redone by pros.

Disliked: Amenities, communication
The communication with our host was not proper. She didn’t let us know how to check in, we had to wait outside her house for 30 minutes, after driving for more than 7 hours and end up calling expedia customer care to get in contact with her as she didn't left any instructions nor she responded to my messages. The rooms appear bigger in photos. The heat was turned off for the house, it was quite chilly the first night and we could not sleep properly. On top of that, the lights went off in Kitchen, Living and Bathroom the first night. We were 7 people and the main reason we chose this property was 2 bathrooms, but we could not use one of those until they came and fixed it the next day. The most annoying part is the parking on the streets, it used to be packed always, we had to park far so if the property states parking amenity is included it should be in proximity and available at all times. Also, there is no pool as it states in amenities.
