"The town of Guiglia is great for anyone wants to explore Emilia Romagna by car but avoid actually staying in the larger towns of Modena or Bologna. We had a variety of experiences in Castelvetro, Modena, and other surrounding towns, and all were fairly easy to access from Guiglia. "This is a lovely spot in the hills, the pool a godsend in the scorching heat. The apartment was everything we expected, ideal for a family of four. Great restaurants nearby but sadly lacking a bar/pasticceria that is reaslitically walkable. There seems to have once been one but is now closed down. Ruth and her family were so welcoming and were very helpful and easy to deal with. They left us to it but were on hand if we needed anything"

"We visited Bologna for a couple of days, and this home was a lovely spot to stay at. It is near the airport but there is very little noise. Driving past the roundabout for the airport can be a little daunting, but no more than driving elsewhere in Italy! The house is beautifully decorated with art from the owners travels around the world and the home itself is very serene. The owner was extremely helpful and we enjoyed our visit very much."

"Rustic, clean, comfortable and very charming farmhouse with breathtaking views. We woke up to birds singing and the smell of honeysuckle. Ate breakfast in the beautiful private garden with hummingbirds and small lizards visiting. Hosts were accessible and very helpful. Everything is as pictured and worked well. 15 min from grocery store and 10 min from beach. Highly recommend!!!!!!"
