Not as described
Bed is not as they are in description. Was said to have a queen bed only had a full. Loads of spiders. Repair man was still there after 4 for a check in time. (He was very nice) contacted about a broken tv remote and took 2 days for a response of what location. Then there was no response after that. When inquired before hand about grill was told charcoal so went and bought to take with and then once arrived it was gas. Very small selection of pans. Vacuum is a bag and the bag was full when arrived and not able to locate a new bag. Almost empty rolls of paper towels and toilet paper. Said to use an after hour number if any troubles and still didn’t get a response during hours.

Quiet and close to the Straits
It's truly an old U.P. house - last updated decades ago. However, it has a large, well-stocked kitchen, mud room, and comfy main floor bed. The neighborhood is very quiet and you can't see the neighbors.neighbor's

Great home base
This house was just what we needed for our family’s trip to the UP. It was centrally located to many attractions and close to the lake for some beautiful walks and views of the water just a short distance away.

Cute and Comfortable
Pros: great location within 60 minutes of most activities we had planned, plenty of towels, clean, comfortable for the 4 of us, quiet, appliances in working order. The kids enjoyed having a TV in their room and the separate beds. Cons: we communicated with the property owners about a couple of things and it took several hours for them to respond. The grill was very dirty and had bugs living in it, a smoke detector was malfunctioning, and we suspect mold in the bathroom ceiling. They requested photos but never responded after that. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Was nice, but could be better
The over all stay wasn’t bad. Was stocked with things we needed for cooking and staying. The floors didn’t feel clean enough and the overall cleanliness could be better. The bathroom and everything was outdated enough to where it gave off the impression it wasn’t clean enough and we felt itchy being there and left a day early. Outside we were eaten alive by mosquitoes and many other bugs that could be maintained with lawn spray maintenance. We even used bug spray on ourselves and nothing helped. We enjoyed the peace the property offered, but overall could be better.

Lovely Home
It is a very old house with a lot of charm. It worked really well for us and was a great location to be able to drive and see all the sites we wanted to. The house is a short drive from most anything. We would absolutely stay here again for our next U.P. trip.

Enjoyable stay at this old house!
The house was cute, quiet, cozy, and quaint! It is an older house, but everything worked perfectly and all the appliances and heating and cooling and water pump, etc. are all updated and nice. We really enjoyed our stay and hopefully will be able to stay there again.

Perfect Midwest Getaway
The location could not have been more perfect. With being only 20 minutes from St.Ignace and I75 it was a very accessible property! Getting there was half the experience as we took the 1st exit after the Big Mac and road the shoreline all the way down! The views were absolutely breathtaking and we ending up going back and playing on the beach with kids as the sun set on the massive lake. The house itself was very charming with a large yard and a fire pit included. We also encountered riding trails and my husband and I anticipate coming back when the kids are older! We have a wonderful time! And the house was equipped with everything we needed from batteries to household cleaners! Thank you!

Could be better
The location for our trip purpose was great. Communication with the rental company was pretty good too, however the house itself wasnt very clean. There was also shards of glass from a broken light cover left in the ceiling light that my husband cut his head on. There was also big stains in the carpet under this light where possibly someone else was cut? There is a TV in the upstairs bedroom that comes on, but plays nothing but a blue screen. Just our preference, but a couch would also be nice in the living room.
