"The house has a large garden with swings and a terrace. The kitchen is well equipped. The location is good - near a supermarket and a restaurant. Unfortunately, the house is getting old in places and people who are allergic to dust should bring their pills with them. The tap water smelled strange, tasted metallic and was undrinkable. "The apartment worked for our small family very well. Separate bedrooms is such a plus when traveling with an adult child. International travelers should be aware of a few things: there are no soaps, shampoo, etc included unless a previous guest leaves some behind. AND there are no linens / towels automatically included, they must be ordered ahead of time and paid separately. If you don’t know this and roll in late and the restaurant is closed you will be sleeping on beds with no linens. AND you are expected to clean the unit top to bottom unless you pay for an extra fee for cleaning. They say they will charge you for having to clean the unit if it does not meet their standards. When we checked in I found the toilet was dirty with dirty tissues in the bowl and toilet paper plastered to the top rim. So I don’t know how closely they inspect the units. The property is in very good condition, our unit had no mechanical or maintenance problems. There was a table and 4 chairs available on a private porch along with a grill. Plenty of parking for everyone. A very short walk down to the small beach. This property would be great for a relaxing vacation, the island has everything you need with groceries and shopping. We didn’t eat at the restaurant so i can’t comment on it, but they did have a wood fired oven for pizza. I would stay here again knowing what I know now, but definitely plan differently. Also having to pay for linens & cleaning ups the base price. "

"These were hands down the most comfortable beds and pillows we've experienced on this trip to Europe, and the trip included stays at three Hiltons and several other Hilton properties. Breakfast at FH Witt is also slightly better than at some/most Euro Hiltons. Not way better, good variety but exceptional quality. Room service was amazing. Dozens of good-quality restaurants within 5 blocks. Parking is extremely easy, we parked right in front of the entrance for a few euros every evening. Drawbacks: No air conditioning, room gets hot even with windows open when it's 23 °C outside. Shower spews water everywhere in the bathroom. Towels are small and few. There is no restaurant for lunch or dinner within the hotel, although they'll gladly pour you a beer or several. In all, lacking a Hilton property in Kalmar, this is as close as it gets with the only material downgrade being lack of air conditioning! Airline crews flying into/out of KLR stay here. So... it's good."
