Traditional Vermont Ski Chalet Central to Mad River Valley and Stowe

This classic Vermont home is a wonderful place to call home during your ski or summer vacations. Centrally located to the Mad River Valley, Sugarbush Ski Resort as well as Waterbury and only 35 mins to Stowe, this property is close to all the local attractions. The home features an updated open plan upstairs and there is a large deck with bbq grill to enjoy meals and the outdoors. In wintertime, cozy up next to the pellet stove downstairs and read a book after a long day of skiing.

Please message through the booking medium or email before calling or texting for fastest response. Available during normal hours M-F 9-5 and for emergencies during reasonable non sleeping hours.

This property is located in Duxbury Vermont in a rural mountainous area with plenty of private woods and scenery. With close proximity to Waterbury and the Mad River Valley, this property offers an escape to the woods while being conveniently located to many amenities.

The house is located on a dead end road. We do kindly ask that guests do not drive or walk past the cul de sac at the end if the road as it is private property beyond that point.

You will have access to the entire house and surrounding property.

Though a 4 WD vehicle and snow tires are always recommended when travelling anywhere in Vermont, this property is located off the main road and it is a flat private road leading to a flat driveway. Rarely would anyone have any accessibility issues other than an ice storm.

Peaceful Retreat
I enjoyed my one-week stay at this roomy home. It's on a quiet dead-end road with very little traffic. Traffic on the nearby main road can be heard, but I didn't find it disturbing. There was nice fire-pit and the yard was large enough for my dog to run around without having to go near the road. It's convenient to the villages of Moretown, Waterbury, Waitsfield and Warren. I do plan to return.

Winter stay
Very convenient to family’s place in Waterbury and close to mountains for skiing. Unfortunate weather made the trip a stay home and cook- play games watch movies- trip . The home was good for that…roomy with big family table and good kitchen.

Week with Family
You really enjoyed our stay. Colin and Josh were very responsive to anything we needed. The space is very nice for hanging out and the kitchen is nicely stocked with lots of cooking items. The beds are not super comfortable, but you bed away from home seldom is. The only thing to note is there is only a spiral staircase inside. You can easily walk around the house and use either of the two entrances to get into the upstairs with luggage, etc.

Wonderful rental and area
Thanks to Colin and Josh for being such great hosts. I wish i could give more stars for their communication, as they were incredibly responsive and helpful. The rental house is lovely, and perfectly situated between Waterbury/Stowe and the upper Mad River Valley, which is an amazing area. We highly recommend this property.

Great Family Gathering Space
We loved this House! My adult children and their significant others joined my husband and I to celebrate my 60th birthday. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook all of our meals and the refrigerator was large enough for all our supplies. We loved gathering around the lunch bar for happy hour and relaxing on the recliner sofas in the living room. A key feature we can absolutely not do without is a dining room table. This place had one that fits 8 comfortably! We were able to eat meals together and play games around the table. The heat lamps in the newly renovated bathroom was a bonus. We highly recommend this house for it’s superior gathering space.
