"This property has everything you need! Quiet and safe but close to everything. It was extremely clean and well stocked in the bathroom and the kitchen. Both beds were comfortable with additional cozy blankets if needed. Lots of thoughtful fun extras, a bowl of snacks, many choices of coffee and hot cocoa in the Keurig, games and extra fans. It was a perfect place to land as we visited our Vandal for homecoming weekend. We will be back for sure!"

"Myself and my two teenage sons had a fabulous stay at the First Street Flat. Joyce and Kelly were great hosts with clear and quick communication. We appreciated the opportunity to have a late check out since other guests were not booked the day we were leaving. The flat is a block from charming Main Street and a quick drive to campus...could walk or ride bike easily. Flat had everything we needed and more...probably the best stocked VRBO I've stayed in. "We have nothing bad to say except we had to leave! This was a great place to stay for our quick trip for the UofI Homecoming weekend. Nicely stocked with snacks, a variety of hot drinks for the Keurig and a few other things to make our quick stay enjoyable. And the view cannot be beat! The host was easy to communicate with and it was a treat to share their beautiful home and property."

"The owner of this house does live there, which to be fair I don't enjoy that set up. There was an attempt to clean the house, but more of covering it will good smells then scrubbing. The downstairs bathroom had a very strong odor of old urine, the pots and pans in the open shelves had layers of grease. The overall smell of fabuloso was so strong we all had a headache the first night. The upstairs shower drains very slowly. The house does have a nice layout. The bedding was clean. The two rooms...

"I was in town for the Grazing Hills Fiber Festival to sell my beautiful alpaca fiber and needed somewhere cool and quiet to spend the weekeend nights. It was a cute studio, with everything I needed! The AC unit blocked out the upstairs footsteps, which helped. Parking was great! And nice to be able to walk to food! Will consider staying here next summer. Thank you!"

"What a great location for us to stay for the weekend! It’s only about a 5 minute drive to U of I campus where my daughter will be an incoming freshman this fall. The flat is very small and probably better suited to a couple of people. It was a bit of a tight squeeze with 3 of us in the apartment, but we made it work. The property was clean and in a very quiet neighborhood. I would highly recommend Fried Egg Flat if you’re in town for a quick weekend. We would definitely stay again!"
