"The property is situated in a beautiful valley and the host provided guidance for things to see and do around. The gite is specious downstairs and the kids (and dog!) absolutely loved playing with the donkeys and the turtles. We were offered to purchase a home-cooked meal which was generous and tasty. "Lovely location - right by the river - perfect for adults, teenagers, kids and dogs. Some lovely restaurants within walking distance. Very pretty. House is nice but could definitely benefit from a bit of a spruce. Garden furniture all needs a good clean - tatty cushions outside. Kitchen well equipped for 14 although missing any large glasses. Pillows on beds need updating. No air conditioning which made it difficult on hot days/nights but lots of fans provided. Good area for dining. Pool quite small and no pool lights for evenings. Rubbish needs to be sorted into recyclable and general waste - and basically taken out every day - we were not provided with the key card to access the larger hatch for general waste - which meant posting individual bits through a small postbox contraption in the side. Plenty of space for 12. Kayaking very close and a lovely way to spend the day."
