"Its a unique type of hotel staying in a converted shipping container but i like it! Very comfortable and everything was brand new and clean. It was honestly bigger than my Tokyo hotel and it had free parking. They even give you a snack meal for each day you stay per person. Didnt expect that at all. "This is an old merchant house that has been nicely remodeled as a hotel. It's smack in the middle of Tomonoura's historic renewal district. The room I had was spacious, comfortable, and nicely designed. This hotel requires some pre-planning: getting the shuttle bus from Fukuyama, making sure basic needs are met (no onsite staff, except at breakfast time). "Basic hotel. The staff are excellent and attentive. The ceilings in the corridors are low. The mandatory exit signs are low in the corridors, with sharp edges. If you are over 5'10", you will bump your head on these signs. Rooms are larger than I thought they would be. Quite happy with the room, thank you. "

The room was clean and has basic things you need. The microwave in the room was a nice touch. I bought breakfast at the grocery store next door and warm up my food. Everything was excellent, but I marked down one star on ‘comfort’ because the pillows are painfully hard. They are a hybrid Japanese pellet stuffing on one side and Western fiberfill on the other. Neither side was comfortable. "
