"Nice clean, tidy place, with very friendly staff.....couldn't fault the service. It just feels like you have stepped back in time as the place is old and dated......but everything worked! "

"Easy check in, room nice a big. Room looked ok at first sight, but then saw the walls were pretty dirty….coffee splashes (spilt coffee), not just one splash, was pretty obvious. The bathroom was reasonably clean however they could do with getting rid of the calcium build up on the shower tap. "

"So many hotels and other accommodation offer guests a check-in to be as late as possible and check-out early. To me, this negates the premise of a ‘stay’. Thank you to the management of the Hougoumont for recognising the value of being made to feel welcome, we had a wonderful stay!"

Accommodating and friendly.

"Staff very accommodating. We weren’t able to connect with them for the free ride from the airport and had to take a cab. To help make up for that they upgraded our room. Beautiful large room with spa and balcony. Clean, nice amenities. They don’t have a restaurant but recommended one near that was excellent. Highly recommend. "
