"We loved our stay at Te Vakaroa! We had an upstairs two bedroom villa with an awesome view across the lagoon to the ocean… walk out the front past the pool and your on the sand and swimming! Two bedrooms, two bathrooms upstairs, another toilet down stairs with a washer and dryer.. big lounge area and balcony.. right next door to the sailing club with cafe bar… a short walk to the pacific resort or nautilus where we went for food and cocktails… Awesome location and we are booking again for next...

"The beach was so beautiful, safe to swim, would have taken my own snorkel if I had know how great the area was. Our room was on the bottom floor, so we could go out our doors right out to the beach. The outdoor dining was just a few steps from our room. The food was great, so were the drinks. One drink in particular was great, called a Mud Lover. The staff was great, especially Ryan, very friendly and helpful. Marvin was also great. One thing I would recommend would be to rent a car at least...

"The Staff went above and beyond to be friendly and helpful. Everyone of them. Things I didn’t care for was the rediculous prices for drinks, what Happy Hour? Wifi is also an unbelievable rip off. The snorkeling was some of the best anywhere-hundreds of fish (including so many nurseries with babies), lots of coral, many, many eels, and turtles; the beach was beautiful; the staff and activities were terrific; the room was wonderful; and the breakfast buffet was the best I've ever had anywhere! "Paul & his team are amazing hosts. The Black Pearl is a lovely place to stay without the hustle and bustle of a big complex. Everything is available from a washing machine, BBQ & reef shoes. The beach is a 30 second walk accross the road and there is a restaurant and garage right next door for any snacks or drinks if needed. Paul can provide great recommendations for restaurants and car hire! Thank you so much for making our first trip to Raro truly on to remember!!"

"If you’re just looking for a clean, decent, and convenient place to stay for 1-2 nights, I highly recommend this place. We landed around 11:30 pm, this hotel is very close to the airport (walkable). We stayed here at the front and back ends of our trip as we spent the majority of the trip in Aitutaki. We would stay here again. The restaurant had great food and drinks. "This is a great place to visit as a group each unit has a kitchenette and theres bbqs outside each room with tables and chairs outside great for big cook up with friends , theres a few supermarkets for buying meat etc or take it with you if going from NZ, , lots of local places to walk to for food or hire a car/vans so easy to drive around and cars arent expensive just look around for prices, rent from somewhere local to where your staying nornally cheaper than airport, "

"The whole experience was absolutely amazing, fron the moment we arrived and was greeted by Grace both her and all the staff from hospitality to facilities maintenance could not have been better, we were treated like royalty! When i had an accident whilst there they made sure transport was hand for meattend all my health and dental appontments with the catering team even cooking me off menu meals aa i was struggling to eat, I cannot praise the resort and the Staff highly enough."

The night market was only steps away which made dining easy when we had no car available. We did rent a Muri Shores vehicle they had available at the end of our trip. This helped as our flight did not leave until late at night and gave us the option to tour the island, store our luggage in the car and have easy drop off at the airport since we had no place to stay after checkout, a common problem with late flights. Can’t say enough good things from this Canadian who was a long ways away from home. "
